$2 DVDs at Dick Smith Electronics. If you're after some childrens movies, some old school flick or a cliched/popcorn movie, then this might be for you.

The titles that I can make out are;

  • Anastasia
  • Alice in Wonderland [Cartoon one)
and the twin pack with Alien Intruders / Space Fury {awesome name btw)

And more in store, so keep this alive and update this thread if you find any other goodies.

Cheers

I'm not dissing this deal in any way, and thanks to ur2dads for posting it, but I really don't think there will be anything in this pile that anyone will note as "good viewing".

Please let me know if I'm wrong!

The only people that buy these are the ones that want to show off their massive DVD collection.

    • lol thanks and I agree with you 100%, but just who knows, there might be something decent if anyone can be bothered checking. I can't really make out that Denzel Washington movie but i think it's The Great Debater.. and denzel's movies are generally ok :)

But ye in general this might be ok if anyone is bored enough to watch a few (crap) movies that are cheaper to buy new than renting it out:)

You could've misc licked in a variety of other places, so count yourself lucky that a) you're not having to buy listerine in bulk to get the taste out of your mouth and b) you weren't caught on mobile phone camera ;-)

    • Damn my mother in law don't understand English >< Good deal but Im one of the fortunate ones that has $1 wednesday XD 100% cheaper and does not waste space at home XD

My 3 year old is absolutely crazy over the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales DVDs from this $2 pile! When I went back to the store to get another they were all gone - had to go to 5 Dick Smiths before I FINALLY found two more!

  • Sorry, not a bargain … RRP is $2.00 on these - they are the standard crap budget DVDs that you'll find at all dodgy DVD stores, Sams Warehouse, Go-Lo, Cheap as Chips, The Reject Shop, and occasionally Big W / Kmart.

    http://www.payless.com.au/index.php?/p/product/715 - Alice in Wonderland
    http://www.payless.com.au/index.php?/p/product/156 - John Wayne Double
http://www.payless.com.au/index.php?/p/category/34 - Hans Christian Andersen range all $2

Chances are if you see any store advertising $2 DVDs, these are the products you'll find :(

  • Have't thes been $2 for a while already. Every time I've been to DSE I have always see the big pile of $2 dvds. Usually 4:3 and poor quality at that.

  • Not a deal really as the RRP is $2 on each disc, but I absolutely love the shlock bad-action titles that Payless, RAAM, Flashback and Peacock Films churn out. All 4:3 transfers usually but if you check IMDB on the titles most of them were filmed that way (for TV, or just cheap!). The quality on the dual-movie discs are a bit average due to the low bitrate but where else can you get Don "The Dragon" Wilson double-features of CyberTracker and CyberTracker 2 for a dollar each. Not to mention the endless Michael Dudikoff features that these companies release. Great stuff!
