Just take their word for it
      12MB/s very quick

    • since you just did it

12MB/s write shouldn't be allowed to advertise as USB3. I had usb2 drives which were 25MB/s

I bought a 3 pack of emtec drives at Xmas and they're garbage. Slow as and already had one die.

Can't say about this model however.

Decent price. I bought 8 32GB EMTEC USB 2.0 about 4 months back for $9.99 each, a bit slow and hot but for the price they have been good, no failures. I'll use them to record PVR stuff (Sequential) so slow write and fast read suits just fine (probably more like 30-50MB/s actually)

    • I reckon its perfect for having a large movies collection. Would've been better if the price was cheaper though.

I have one of these. Max write speed is about 8MB/s
    Do not buy!!!!

  • What is considered the best bang for buck USB3 Flash Drive?

    • depends if you want metal housing or plastic and the physical size of the drive ….. they influence the price not just speed.

      • at least 64GB…

How does the housing material matter, plastic is an insulator?

  • too slow!

  • Not recommend. Bought a 32GB half year ago. It always takes over 20 seconds to be recognized by computer while all others are recognized immediately.Totally rubbish! Don't know how's this one, but looks the same except 64GB.
