  • Where is it from and how long is delivery? Do you have ebay site?

    • Hi, I've just updated this post. Please refresh and check the info you need.

      • +3

Should have posted this yesterday! Ebay had 15% off

        • Yeah. Instead I bought the Zhiyun Rider-M gimbal from eBay last night (with 15% off) works out to $263.50. I like the versatility of the Rider-M which allows me to attach it (with my Hero 4 Silver) to my helmet or chest strap.

Have you compared with the Zhiyun Smooth Q which is $185 delivered?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Zhiyun-SMOOTH-Q-Handheld-3-Axis-G…
I was looking at this but it keeps getting cheaper so keep waiting :-/
Has plenty of decent reviews online and specs look to be about the same as the G5

    • That looks like an electric toothbrush.

      • A 3 axis electric toothbrush…

    • Interesting. Does it fit gopro though?

      Whats the reviews like?

    • +1

We sell the Smooth Q as well. However I can't recommend the smooth Q over G5 if you own a Gopro Hero 5.
      1. The smooth Q is designed for a smartphone. I know you can get an adapter for the Smooth Q to fit the Hero 5 however you can't run, jump, do all the crazy things with the smooth Q as it's a lose fit.
      2. The smooth Q is out of stock. We have a pre-order list long enough that we won't be able to fullfill for the next couple months at least. The out of stock is global, don't trust anyone that says "in stock"
      3. The Smooth Q is all plastic compared with the G5's full alloy body and water splash proof design.

      • Yes. The Zhiyun equivalent gimbal will the be Z1 Evolution, but it still need an adapter to fit Hero 5.

        • We're selling the EVO at a very good price as well, we have a bonus as well: the Hero 5 adapter is pre-fitted!
          https://www.skytechs.com.au/z1-evolution.html

        • @littlelooloo: Good price but my mind was set on Zhiyun Rider-M which I have already bought last night. I saw you also sell it with a Hero 5 adapter (but I don't need it) for $369 on eBay, however it is $60 more than the other eBay seller (without Hero 5 adapter), otherwise I would have bought from you.

        • @edfoo: Thanks for your interest. The new stock of Rider-M we got have the Hero 5 adapters pre-fitted. You can just leave a comment and mention you need it for Hero 5 then we can ship you the pre-fitted ones.

        • @littlelooloo:

Kinda interested in this, does this mean I can have flexibility with this over the feiyu as it can have gopro adapter and for mobile?

Whats the review like, anyone know?

        • @littlelooloo:
Does the EVO come with normal mobile adapter as well as gopro adapter?

  • If your online site offered Afterpay I would definitely pull the trigger on this. Good price!

    • Thanks for the support, we'll look into afterpay.

  • OP, is there any gimbal for LX100?

    • We have this Crane M gimbal for compact small cameras:
      https://www.skytechs.com.au/zhiyun-crane-m.html

      • any deal for that?

        • +1

Give us a call if you want to get one.
          02 866 433 99

      • Those Crane and Crane M gimbals are pretty awesome stuffs.
Like to have one for my mirrorless Olympus OMD EM5 camera, but they are in the very expensive accessories category for a casual photographer/videographer like me O.o

        • They're actually cheap if you do this for a living. Both Crane and Crane-M are the lease expensive gimbals on the market for what they can do.
We're selling heaps of them as well.

        • @littlelooloo: Yes, other mechanical gimbals are like thousands of dollars. I am just a casual user, not earning any cents from this hobby.

Just a tad cheaper on eBay (by $2.90).

$296.10 from their eBay store with 10% off code CLAP10. Code expires today.

  • cheaper on eglobal with "winter" code. $289.75 delivered.

      1. We're a local business
      2. Our price includes GST
      3. We offer 1 year Australian warranty
      4. We offer local support
      • -3

        still not the "cheapest worldwide"

        • +2

We can list it as $271.81 exc GST but we choose not to.

  • Will this work with GPH4?

    • Yes, the bracket will be a bit larger for the Hero 4 but you only need to tighten the screws a bit.

  • +1

to those who purchase this, if you want to update it, please do not use the feiyu app as per stated on the manual. It is an old app, and it will cause your feiyu G5 dead [still can be revive but will need some time to revive it, it happened on me)

remember to download the new feiyu app FEIYU ON to update your firmware. this is not stated on their manual [unless they have update it without my knowledge)

  • +1

Can this be adapted for a Sony action cam (assuming I can make my own brackets to make it fit)? The cam would be pointing to the left instead relative to the Gopro.

This gimbal is for the sony action cam. However it's an old model and Feiyu never updated it.

      • How about the current model? If it can be adapted, will it work?

        • Won't work. The balance of weight is very tricky.

        • +1

@littlelooloo: The weight balance would be similar isn't it? Just that the lens would be pointing in different directions.

        • +1

@amts: I have a customer tried to do this before, failed. So I can't recommended this. You'll lose warranty as well.

        • @littlelooloo: Thanks

  • Cost aside, thoughts on this vs Karma Grip?

    • Throw the DJI Osmo into the mix.

      • I think Osmo is a good choice if you don't already owned an action cam. If you already owned a GoPro and wanted to use it, then not much point getting the Osmo.

  • Any gimbal for compact cameras?

    • Zhiyun Crane M as mentioned by OP above. $599.

  • Can anyone recomend the feiyu g5 or z1 evo?

Wouldnt mind if they can also handle a mobile phone

  • Do you have a recommendation for a gopro 3 gimbal that allows the protective case to be on?

    • Most gimbals can't support gopro with housing.
Only some DIY gimbals can but I can't recommend them.

      • Thanks. I couldn't find any either.
