I know basically how to play Gin Rummy, but I seem to lose much more than I win, and as I like to play online with friends and others, this is killing my credibility! It must be bad card draw some of the time, but I think my strategy must be off. Should I try to knock high, or try for the higher value gin? Should I be keeping Aces and low cards, and getting rid of the high cards?
Any help from the community with tips?

I clear big cards first… then think of knocking (if plenty of cards still left on the table) or Gin.

First and foremost - it's a game, just try to enjoy it no matter whether you're winning or losing. You're right, sometimes it is just down to the draw of the cards. More strategically though, it's a game of risk. You need to keep track of the cards your competition are collecting and consider hoarding cards rather than given them out. Sometimes its better to just try to clear your hands fastest rather than waiting for those face cards. Enjoy!
