Your Recommendations on Garden Tools for Rental?

Hi OZB

I've recently moved into a rental with a roughly 700sqm block, mid to large rear garden and many shrubs that need to be cut back as well as many other gardening tasks required. There is a large grape vine/tree thing and many other large trees I'd like to cut back.

What are some of the essential tools you would recommend?

Happy with entry to mid quality with budget in mind, assuming I'd need at least a lawnmower and whipper snipper.

Previously I've lived in apartments that had no gardens so appreciate your suggestions, thanks in advance!

  Are you sure that he place doesn't already have tools? How else was the garden maintained?

  It's probably fine because it sounds neglected, but usually you have to keep things in the state they are. What is in the rental agreement on the matter? Do you have permission from the owner to do this stuff? Even if you do, I would take before and after photos just in case.

    Nothing on the rental agreement on paper, I would assume the responsibility fell with the previous tenant.

  If there's a lot you might want to think about getting someone in to do the initial clean up. They will have all the heavy duty gear to get it under control and remove the rubbish. Then you will only need the tools to keep it tidy.
