  • dammn.. bought it @ 175 with cracka20 code previously from an ebay seller.

  • My wifes Fitbit Charge band has broken again for the 10th time. Are these new FitBit's better quality, or should i just grab her a Mi Band 2?

      Mine broke too.
A quick email and they sent a new one. No receipt or anything required.
I guess they could see it registered on my account.
      Great customer service.

Agreed, but this has happened to her 3 times now… Kinda over it and ready for a new product. I'm sure there's probably a limit on their generosity too. Just don't want to have repeat that for another model.

        • I can't comment on the quality as mine is new, but it would suck replacing bands every few months.

The Charge 2 does seem a lot sturdier than its predecessor, though I only got mine 2 months ago. Happily, the band is replaceable.

My Charge HR band started peeling after almost exactly 4 months of use (I ended up having it replaced three times during the 12 month warranty period). The power port/connection part of my fourth device (third replacement) eventually fell apart which made it basically impossible to charge it without holding the power cable in by hand (the band had also started peeling).

While the manufacturing quality might have improved, their software engineering is seemingly lacking at the moment - there's a significant bug with the Android app that has been present for over three months. There's a 27 page thread on their forums about it: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Missing-MobileRu…

        • Good info. Thanks mate.
