EDIT: It CRAP - HD PVR Ready $57 Plus Free Jamie Oliver Pasta Maker (Limited Numbers)

30

Edit: do not buy this. It's crap. Just tried it now and only records when tv is on, docent record when you change chanels or even watch a DVD on a separate machine. Timer recording only works when box left on. For HD box it's okay but a PVR it's shocking

was $119 yesterday, today $57
Less for cash got one for $54

On site go to "Bonus Offer" and they still have some Jamie Oliver pasta makers for free. I just called their promotion site and secured one.

$54 for a hd set top box and pasta maker a hood deal.

Records via USB upto 12gb stick or Hdd upto 1TB.

Read online that you can change the format of external drive to FAT or something so you can use an external drive via USB greater than 12gb.

Prob dosent do divx etc

Good cheap price for a pvr ready hd box.

  • Fairly ordinary price:

But I suppose if you need a pasta maker…

    • That one is currently showing for $70 posted.

Also can you put a HD in that one?

Another good one I was close to buying was the Yess 9300 from crazystu for $88 but how can you walk away from Jamie Oliver pasta!

      • Also can you put a HD in that one?

Nope, only supports externals. But the topside is that it supports MKV +subtitles / DivX etc.

You can put a HD in this thing? Interesting, the STB certainly doesn't look big enough to house a HDD.

      • Got the Yess 9300 from crazystu for $88
        - It has to be on, if you want the antenna signal to go through to the TV
        - The PVR recorded shows are hard to delete. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
Otherwise I like it. Have a 320GB HD attached. Easy to Program.

    • That's definitely the best STB/PVR I've ever bought. I would have been happy to pay $80 for it.
Only thing it can't do is change channels when you're recording and NTFS.

  • I got a Sony LCD TV, but apparentely the HD tuner refused to work now. Can I buy such a set up box, and hopefully watch digital TV again? Anyone can advise on this? Thanks

    • yea, any set top box will do.

    • This Shintaro SH-HDST01 High Definition Digital Set Top Box with PVR USB Recording And BONUS HDMI Cable may be worth a look at www.oo.com.au for 59.90 delivered.

  • I might still buy it from a retailer, in case the set top box couldn't work out and I get a chance to return it.. thank you all!

  • +1

Is there a chance the PVR will tape till the end?

Not on your life my Hindu friend!

  • "The PVR recorded shows are hard to delete"
same with me on NTFS, change the hdd format to FAT32 and no more deleting problems, of course then you have the 4gb file limit but no biggie :)
