Someone posted on the Whirlpool TV forum that the next Top Secret HN Sale will be this coming weekend.

They mentioned a cheapie Samsung 32" panel for $399.

Believe it or not, these HN Super Saturday sales are actually reputed to contain a few genuine bargains!

EDIT: Changed headline subject to Harvey Norman to allow DB searching on name.

EDIT 2: Well so much for a Samsung HD LCD TV for $399. Actually turns out to be $498 which may be OK for some, but a disappointment for me.

    HN is a ripoff and there are no bargains on sales day. Just a marketing gimmick to bait people in.

        I'm not a big fan of HN but they do have their moments. (I bought a Tom2 from them on sale a few months ago which I still haven't seen at a better price.)

        Supposedly, the difference to the regular scamfests is that there are genuine bargains contained within their occasional Super Saturday Sales.

        Only 3 more sleeps to find out.

            @AntMan76: If you read the thread carefully from about halfway down page 2 you'll see the poster says it's this Saturday in response to some banter.

            Last post on page 2 @ 6:57pm Monday.

                  Posting & discussing a possibly imminent & hitherto unpublicised sale in a public forum on a website dedicated to bargains, deals & sales, is definitely not spamming. I'm not affiliated with HN in any way but I have been looking for a cheapie 32" or bigger TV.

                  It may be rumour-mongering, gossiping or speculating, but it ain't spamming.

                  Undoubtedly the Whirlpool poster had second thoughts and removed some of his posts when his insider tip-off went feral. But that's the nature of the internet. Nothing's really private when you post on public forums. I can still google comments and posts I made on various internet forums over 10 to 15 years ago. Scary.
