    PC + PSP.

    No real point having a home console when you already have a decent PC

    • It depends. The good thing about a console, is that you can buy second hand games (Disk format) very cheap. Furthermore, you can use the console (XB1S) as a 4K Bluray player, a network player/media streamer. I am not sure that PC BDR supports 4K playback atm. The PC is awesome for 4K gaming which is the big advantage, also add a nice sound card which can output to a HT receiver.
      Cheers

      Exclusives. It's been a killer year for consoles IMO: Zelda, Persona 5, HZD, etc.

    PC for value.

  • Decent Laptop plus PS4.

    Would also be interesting to see what platform people like/prefer but don't have, as I have a PS3 and a netbook, but I actually prefer PC's :(.

  • PC for most games, Playstation/Xbox for exclusives and a GPD XD for retro and portable gaming.

    PC.

    Consoles = Waste of time when you have beast mode pc.
    Portable Consoles = Mostly inferior games and a waste of time.

    Imo.

    • Have a beast pc but for some reason xbox pulls me back truly cant wait for scorpio :)

  • PC - Bread and butter since it has 99% of the games I would play (MOBA and FPS)
    Playstation 4 - FF15 and KH1.5/2.5 and a few other random games here and there
    Nintendo 3DS - Pokemon, Dragon Quest, and a few casual on the train games.

    I am an occasional gamer and have a PC and an Xbox.

    The Xbox is a lot more fun because of couch multiplayer. Basically, I play games like Battlefield and Company of Heroes on the PC while I (and my mates) play games like Overcooked or Fifa on the Xbox. They do complement each other.

  • We have all platforms in our household.

    The ones that get the most play time is usually the PS4 and Steam in big picture mode. 3DS comes out when new pokemon games get released. The Vita's rarely get used but usually for casual games like Hotline Miami. Switch has only been used for Zelda when it came out, and the XB1 is just gathering dust.

    Everything but Xbox because there really no point to that console.

    I have a big steam library but I rebuy games on PS4 so my housemates can play

  • Don't do much gaming these days…
    But if I were to make some recommendations it would be:
    - PC for home
    - Android for mobile

    That's the TL:DR part, for the detailed specifications rant keep reading.
    Android ($500 - $800):
    $60 GameSir G4S….or
    $23 iPega PG 9055
    $500+ Android Large Phone with
    - a QSD 835, 4GB RAM, and 64GB ufs2.1 storage.
    - expandable storage (highly recommended).

    It can play hundreds of Google Play Store Apps. Can also do thousands of titles via emulators from…
    …Atari, Commodore, Sega, SNES, GBA, N64, DS, Dosbox, PS1, PSP, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Wii.
    This makes it very attractive to the likes of the Nintendo DS, Switch and PS Vita. However, there's also the iPhone gaming ecosystem. It's the better ecosystem, however, it is WAY more expensive and WAY more restrictive. And Android is improving when it comes to the Gaming Performance of its native apps… they're slowly approaching PS Vita/iOS quality. So overall I will give the nod to Android for Mobile Gaming.

    PC ($1,500 - $1,900):
    $20 eBay OEM Key (Windows10 Pro 64bit)
    $100 mATX Case (SilverStone RVz02 <-> FractalDesing Core 500)
    $100 600W PSU (SilverStone/Corsair)
    $120 AM4+ Mobo (Gigabyte AB350N)
    $280 AMD's RyZen (i5-1600)
    $200 2x 8GB DDR4-2800 RAM (Corsair Vengeance)
    $300 1TB SSD Boot Drive (Crucial MX300)
    $180 4TB 7200rpm HDD (WD Blue)
    $300-$500 (GTX 1060 6GB <-> GTX 1070 EVGA-SC)
    $80 K+M Mechanical
    $5 Xbox 360 Long-Wired Controller

    …or you could try to unify your Work and Play into one machine by using…
    ……………External Graphics Card amplification ($1,700 - $2,300):
    $350 AKiTio Node eGPU
    $200 - $300 GPU (R9 290 <-> GTX 1060 6GB)
    $1,200+ Tablet/Laptop with
    - a USB-C-TB3 port
    - decent cooling
    - 16GB RAM
    - 256GB SSD
    - and Quadcore processor (Core i7-5700HQ <-> Core i7-7920HQ)
    To get the best experience you would need a decent gamepad/K+M and an External Monitor or TV.

    PC Games can play most of console Xbox, PS4, and Nintendo games. They can't play some great AAA-exclusive titles though. However, PC Games have their own exclusive games too like Solitaire and has a much more vibrant/populated Indie scene. PC rigs can also do emulation like the Android Mobile Gaming touched upon at the top, however, it can usually do these with better convenience, performance and compatibility. Not to mention it can also emulate more powerful systems like the 3DS, PS2, Wii, Wii U, and the PS3. Which means in terms of backlog of titles, the PC is superior to consoles. And as PC Gaming gets better with new Software and Hardware, it means having to swap out parts or rebuild a new system…. a new system that can perform better than before, but one that still has all the Games you enjoyed previously unlike the scene in Console Ecosystem. Not to mention it's also Forward Compatible, and not "just" Backwards Compatible. Especially useful when realising since it is a more open ecosystem, it means stupid things like DRM and Pay-wall for Online connectivity are less common practices, whilst discounts for games and hardware are more common. This means the initial upfront cost is justified in the long-term because of the savings occurred throughout; PC Gaming is Cheaper!

  • PC + PS3 + XBOX 360

  • I used to be PC/Nintendo (Gc, wii then wiiu) but I realised what a joke they are post wii and gave up on them for now after selling my wii u.

    At the moment I'm PC for 60 fps multiplats and ps4 for exclusives, I'd like to use the ps4 more but I'm just not into 30 fps, I'm sure it feels alright for many but not for me.

  • PS4 + 3DS

  • Android peasant race. Things are looking up for mobile. Keeps getting better exponentially every year. We might reach console parity in a few years and then maybe even pc in a couple more years but for now it just keeps getting better.

    Loving feeling the ride of its crazy awesome progress.

  • PS Vita, 3DS, Wii, and Wii u (technically my brother's though). we're thinking about getting the switch to share but waiting for another good sale (missed the target one unfortunately). my siblings and i all have our own 3ds' and we have a few DSi XLS around from when they weren't obsolete :')

  • 3DS, Vita, PS4 and a Retro Pi for all the retro goodness :D

  • Fast laptop (slim ultrabook)+ PS4 + PS3 + Wii + DS
