I think Xbox One can do headphone surround already, I use PC … see

I think Xbox One is getting Dolby Headphone at the OS level (as Windows 10 is). Dolby headphone is very very good.
Often people are much better off buying non-gaming headphones and adding a mic such as modmic.
These particular ones only simulate 7.1.
Don't they all?
Someone did do a headset that had 7 or so small drivers instead of one large one.
@snuke: which ones? I've never been able to find any.

I'm sure someone did a Kickstarter for one as well
I own them and have had them over a year. the sound is great, but they have issues on when using them wirelessly they will randomly desynchronise. The issue is mostly Logitech software/ firmware and has existed since august of last year. I've tried dealing with Logitech over and over gotten replacement pairs all have the same issues eventually. We have been told by their support to just use them as a wired headset which kinda defies the point when the wired set is half the price of the wireless ones.
But they are comfortable to wear the sound quality is great and batteries can easily last 10+ hours.
I don't have this issue and have had mine for about 6 months. Might be a problem with your set. Have you got the latest firmware?
The problem started when I got the latest firmware. But it's more to it than just disconnecting mostly happens when there are multiple sound inputs from different sources.
Had them replaced a few times as well same issue. You might have gotten a gem.
me too,had these problems.both with the g933 headset and the g900 wireless mouse.there sitting in cupboard now and i will never buy a logitech product again!
I have a pair and quite like them but I have 2 intermittent issues with them.
1) Sometimes there is no sound at startup. Pulling the dongle and replacing it fixes the problem. I have never had the audio drop out while I am using them.
2) The headphones can end up in a non responsive state. You can't turn them on, nothing lights up. The first time this happened I thought they were well and truly broken. The solution is to pull out the battery, plug them in via a USB cable and force re-flash the firmware. It seems to happen if I have them plugged in and charging and I turn the PC on or off. If I plug them in to charge after I turn off the PC and unplug them before I power on my PC it doesn't seem to happen.
Other than that the sound is great and the virtual surround is quite good.
Heard that the HyperX Cloud 2 are better?
Pretty sure theyre wired, but the clouds are very good for their price. This logitech headset is not budget at all.
I am on my 3rd set, the other 2 had issues and had to be replaced under warranty. Warranty is only for place of purchase, so US in this case, too risky considering the issues I have had. One more reason to shop local, cover yourself.
100% agree with this.
Currently dealing with a warranty return for this headset and can confirm that Logitech will not give any leeway for a product outside the country of purchase.
I had a problem with a firmware update which failed then bricked the USB receiver rendering the wireless functionally unless. The wired function of the headset is limited to the 3.5mm. The USB connection only charges the device and does not have the capability to relay audio. Logitech is unwilling to send me a replacement USB receiver due to the place of purchase issue. Currently in the process of returning the entire headset back to Amazon for replacement.
That return cost is worn by you isn't it?
According to the email trail, they will refund me the amount to send it back.
Here's a long shot any chance you have a spare USB receiver?
That's good, Amazon are typically great for customer service.
I'm interested in the G900 mouse but can't see any that ship to Australia?
Cheers, code didn't work though 😣
The code is only for a few logitech products which was listed in the post link lol. The G900 isnt part of the code
After the problems with the G930 including regular drop outs and crappy drivers I'd be cautious.
Is this headset a viable option if primary use will be out of a PS4?
Can pick them up for $160 at JB. Worth it?
Currently using Turtle Beach Stealth 400.
That deal is posted here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/315239#comment-4821154
I use them solely for PS4 usage. Apart form the two warranty problems, all good.
I always wonder about these. Do they actually have 7 speakers in the tiny little earcups, or do they 'simulate' the sound through 2 drivers?
I've come to the conclusion that there is no gaming headset on the market that can give you 5.1 or 7.1 sound from an Xbox One. It annoys me, as I'd like one that could do that.
