I was looking at getting a PC Built from Umart. This will be my very 1st machine i have done.
but im not quite sure on what 10% of the invoice total means. if anyone can explain this. it would be very appreciated. Thanks.

I got it in a email. and the quote was "We require a deposit of $100 before building a system worth <$2000. For systems >$2000, it is 10% of the invoice total."
They require a deposit of 10% of the cost prior to starting the build
Does this mean 10% off the total cost. or 10% more that i have to pay ontop?
You need to pay them 10% of the total cost upfront.
When the computer is ready you pay the remaining (i.e. 90%)^ This.
If the PC is $2000, 10% is $200 you have to deposit for them to begin building the PC so its not a fake order or you cancel an order. You will get it back or pay the difference after complete.
How can you not understand that?
ive never heard it being used before. that's why i asked. if 10% of. was the price etc

Hi i have order things for them to built me a computer as well at this stage it is saying (proccesing) weekends they dont bult computers. Ok so i presume i have to pay a deposit. I have choosed 95.00 for them to built me the computer. But i dont see much great information that i am suppose to add in another 95.00 on top of this as a (deposit) All i see is add in the 95.00 for umart to bult it for you.
Anyhow How do you actually pay the deposit ? over the phone is that of any safe at all or quickest way? otherwise if they make me go on paypal or to a bank it may take hours or days more and everything would simply be slowthere after. So not sure if the quickest and best way is pay over the phone but the take your own risk since young people work there at umart.
Once the payment has been done. Do i have to wait 2 days for them to receive it? even if its on the phone? I thought giving credit card details on the phone is procceses in just a few seconds or minutes.
Also there is that thing wait 5 to 7 days for them to built the computer for you. I dont no how long it would take for someone to built a computer. I thought just under a day or 2 only. Weekends are not included. This might means i wont even have my computer done for me to collect it in a week and a half. And yes im paying the remaining cost at store.
I hope they wont throw out the boxes like i heard one story who only got the case computer but someone threw the boxes into the pin. You know you would rather know what your getting regardless of the empty boxes because of security reasons and also warranty for each parts and rquier the original boxes for each parts.
Anyways Umart really needs to give proper info about this deposit. As in how do you pay it and what is the alternative quickest way and safest way posible. Try do it manually and they wont even receive it for 2 days or so and then you wait another 5 to 7 business days on top of that.
So whats the options for the pay the deposit?
By the way y computer is 3033 dollars.. The deposit means another extra 95.00 ? or from that 3033 ? And do i get it back or does it goes towards the final payment when i get there to pay the rest in full?

95.00 added in the chart for them to bult. You dont get that back money.
But then there is another 95.00 (deposit) wonder if they add that toards the full cost of the computer when i pick it up or receive it back in the bank a week later after pickup or dont no. As i choosed to pay in full at the store once it is made.They are easy enough to contact on the phone. Give them a call if you need more explanation.
