Overseas trip during Christmas

My info is a bit outdated, but might still work.

On trips to and from USA bookings made between xmas and New Years were always cheaper. (but still more than non holiday rates)

Christmas Day flights are cheap and empty!
My sister flew to Europe on Christmas day and there were more Flight Attendants than passengers!
They ate First Class food, but still had to sit in Cattle Class… I'd have preferred to get Cattle Class food and sit in First Class.
