If you use the original receipt when returning said goods you'll lose the points.
Other than that they won't be able to track it.Based on my experience, you still get the bonus points. YMMV
When you refund something, the staff mainly seem concerned about how you paid and refunding the same way. I have rarely been asked for my flybuys card. In this case you get to keep the points.

In practice, probably not.
The system won't know to deduct the points from your account unless the staff scan your card when you return the item, which they rarely do.
So sounds like poor refund procedure or staff not following procedure will probably enable you to keep your points. Enjoy your (technically stolen) $5.
No. The points will be reversed in a few days. They probably don't need your Flybuy card as the number is printed on the receipt
