To those saying its a price error, it's definitely not as its been promoted everywhere on eBay's home page, deal page, etc. They can't have mistyped the price 5-6 times on banner images :) Oh also eBay's live faceook video event.

So I read that as Yes, can activate for here, but warranty issues need to go back to supplier country.

I really do hope these units (from shoppingsquare) are definitely NEW, bcs if it's refurb or has been activated before, then we will not be able to get the DJI Care Refresh, i.e. DJI Care Refresh can only be applied after the Mavic's 48 hour activation window.

I did hassle them a bit since Thursday. Friday they said dispatched and will send email 'shortly' no email by Saturday morning, messaged them again and got back 'sorry can't find an order matching your eBay name, please provide PayPal details and eBay name so we can check our records' grrrr…. anyway supplied all that, hadn't heard again today, messaged them thru shoppingsquare account, and finally got a dispatch notification, and tracking number, and it is tracking via StarTrack international in the auspost app. Ordered and paid at 8.04 pm.

what is the process to get the dji refresh? do you activate the mavic first? then go to dji website to get the dji refresh?
I went here https://www.dji.com/service/djicare-refresh/info made an account on DJI first then just bought it using the Serial number under where the battery goes in the drone and taa daaa done :P
EDIT: this was all done before i even turned the drone on also you MUST do it within 48 hours of the drone being turned on.

@TightAssDrake: This is my first ever drone so I think it is for me because no matter how you damage it as long as you can send it back they will give you up to 2 free drones for 12 months, pretty much peace of mind. :)
@Jetship: It's not free, it's AUD$139 (gst inc) for each replacement (on top of the initial DJI care purchase).
My friend just crashed his last week and got the DJI Care Refresh invoice for the replacement yesterday.
It's important to note you need to send old drone back for replacement. So if you crash it into water or forest and can't recover it then you won't be able to get replacement :)
That's my understanding yes. Part of the deal is you need to return the drone to get a replacement. I remember reading on whirlpool I think of a couple of people who lost theirs and weren't able to get them replaced. Even with proof of fly offs and not operator error…

@TightAssDrake: DJI Care works locally even with grey imports. You should have a read through the FAQ for more info. Check out point 11.
DJI pays for a courier to pick up the drone from you. You don't pay for shipping, you just pay the $139 replacement cost.

I had Shipping Information received by Aus Post at 7pm on Thursday the 22nd then Approved by Aus Post late on the 23rd.
Nothing since - which from what I gather means Aus Post hasn't scanned the parcel yet. :(

Nice that people are starting to receive them, considering the initial estimate on purchase day was from mid July, this is a good outcome. Pity about the haphazard order of dispatching though, some still haven't received shipping notices, but some who bought the last few have received shipping notices.

They replied this arvo saying that it was shipped out on the 23rd with tracking number. On auspost it says 'package approved', so it's definitely on the way.

What a nice product design by DJI, the packaging, the remote, drone, all accessories feel very solid (not cheaply made).
Such a good deal, but on the other hand that just show how overpriced the rrp is.

Mine landed at customs on Monday, without any activity since. They must be happily flying it around at home now!

not sure what the 3d bracket is. But i got the propeller guards while i'm learning and doing stunts.
and as for the stand, i got a tablet stand that mounts into the phone bracket of the remote. The larger screen makes for a better experience. My 5inch phone screen will be just too small to see all of the telemetry data. Plus, battery life is typically better in a tablet.
I'm also contemplating ND filters, but for 60 bucks, i'll give it a pass for now.
I may get a megaphone to enforce a 30 meter exclusion zone for any people approaching me.
