No idea if it'll be the same controversial format as last time, but I'm hoping there's some good savings to be made.

Well - price-jacking complaints happen every time Ebay does a deal.
I suspect the OP is referring more to the customer dissatisfaction at jumping in on a deal, and then Ebay increasing the discount in a different time period…
But I could be wrong.Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I personally didn't mind it. I understood the game I was playing with eBay. Do I buy on this discount, or gamble for a bigger one, but risk no stock?
I thought it was fine.
It seemed poorly executed and kinda insulting to consumers. Felt like a rapper making it rain 2c pieces expecting people to go crazy.

What if I click "Buy it Now" before the deals start - will I lock in the item and be safe from prize jacking but get to choose which coupon to go for? (assuming they do rounds of coupons again)
you would have locked the price in, but what if the discount/promo doesn't target that item? cancel the sale and mess the seller around? or just go ahead and purchase?
I got a couple of good deals out of last time.
Prices from digidirect and their eBay stores were the same.
Used the 15% off code on a used lens and some other stuff I had in my cart.
If a 15% rocks up tonight I'll buy a couple of other things as well.Yeah, I picked up a Nintendo switch cheap and a 10" Groot Pop Vinyl :) Could probably find some more useful stuff too if I looked hard enough!
