Tried Cobram before didn't like it much
There's 3 varieties, the robust one is the most flavoursome (the one with 3 drops). The other 2 don't taste as good but I thought were fine so if you didn't like one chances are you won't like any.
Rylestone Olive Oils are good, but they too are quite expensive.
Won plenty of awards world wide - worth checking out though
Is Australian olive oil not suitable?
its all about taste, I prefer Greek
o. i see
Coles sells an olive oil from Kalamata in Greece that is Denomination of Orign-Protected, meaning it is 100% greek grown and made from the kalamata region. $10 for 500ml, goes on sale at half price 2-3 times a year.
thanks I'll check it out
that's $15 for a 750ml… a cool saving of $1 from OP's deli.
Just check any continental style deli. You can get 4L for around $30 at most in my area (St George).
Can you recommend any particular Deli?
Don't mind the drive
Well I know Mile's food in Rockdale plaza has a few for $29-31 for 4L (I like Minos brand which is $31 - from Crete). Chapel St Nut Roasters in Roselands also have a selection as do the Deli in Roselands [edit: shopping centre] and I'm fairly certain Kogarah town centre. But I would hazard a guess to say plenty of Delis in the kensington area would have a selection too given the greek population there.
Thank you for supporting Greece! They are struggling in Crete but it is appreciated.
Its about 30 minutes away from Eastern Suburbs but Ninos Fruit Barn next door to St Euphemia, Bankstown have 4L cans sometimes as cheap as $25-$27.

Try the greek supermarkets!Gima in Sydney has a few
Why does it need to be Greek? I buy Cobram Estate when it's on special for ~$6.50/750mL. When I worked in a kitchen a few years back we did blind tastings of different EVOO's and Cobram Estate's came out on top.
