Trip to Gold Coast from Melbourne

Hey, 3 mates and I are heading up to the Gold Coast for a week during mid November/early December. We're still planning our trip at the moment but don't have any experience in this. Is there any particular travel agent someone can recommend in Melbourne?

We're interested in the following:

4x Return flights from Melbourne to the Gold Coast

Approximately 7 days accommodation for 4, charged per room or otherwise. Nothing really fancy, they'll just be used for sleeping so probably the cheapest available. Currently I'm looking at Gum Tree.

4x Student passes/concession to the theme parks

I stayed at St Tropez when I went there, the rooms were pretty cheap, but the hotel itself was really cool and had a swimming pool. It was also right in the middle of Surfers Paradise, like a road back from the beach, near the bus stops for all the theme parks plus on the bus route for the airport from the Gold Coast.

Cheapest flights should be found using adioso.com.

If anyone works for coles etc and is a memeber of the SDA, I accessed the hotel through their rewards program.

I think I also got the theme park tickets through them as well. They turned out fairly cheap. Avoid SeaWorld though, the rest were pretty good :)

My sister used http://www.wotif.com/ for our trip. Got rooms for less than $100 a day for three people. The second hotel was actually pretty big/high class.

You can probably just wait for a Jetstar sale for the tickets. And I think there's unlimited entry to three of the theme parks for $99. http://myfun.com.au/

I use webjet to compare flights from different airlines (but book directly through the airline site) and hotelscombined to compare hotels and also which site is the cheapest to book on.
There was also this article in the Age today so you may be able to get a bargain…..
