Thanks! Just pop a dash between open and 4 cans. I read it as open cans.

      You cannot be serious!

You're picking "faults" in the OP's post.

I think it's an "ace" deal myself.

    • "Lets" play nice and "set" a peaceful tone?

I wonder if other retailers "out" there will price "match"….

    • I 'love' the pun 'game' on ozbargain. Always jokers 'serving' up a few 'backhand' comments.

    • +2

I read it as open cans as well. It's not unreasonable seeing that they sell those at the AO.

  • Same price as Kmart for Wilson balls but still a good price nonetheless if people can't get to a kmart!

    • +1

Are the kmart balls australian open wilson tennis balls, or (likely) lower quality wilson branded general purpose tennis balls?

      • -1

We sell two types of wilson balls, one seems to be the lower quality version and another is the Australia Open (championship version) for both the same price I believe. I can't find the latter on the website but I've seen them recently.

    • Dunno why you got down voted. The Kmart ones are more versatile being "All Court" so I can just buy the one can which will get me through the upcoming Wimbledon to US Open leg, which ranges from grass to clay to hard courts.

      • Those all-court type balls are great for casual hitting and are very good value-for-money, but it's worth noting that the difference between those and the higher quality balls can be very noticeable for more serious players.

  • +1

AO balls 'Ideal for grass + clay'? Kinda funny!

  • are these the official balls which they use at the AO?

  • +37

Shh don't tell Margaret, she doesn't approve of 2 pairs of balls being together.

    • Omg take my +1 already!

    • +1

I don't recall her saying that she doesn't approve of them being together - just getting married. All she's saying is that a pair of balls are a better match with a tennis racquet.

      Now let the negs begin!

    • +3

Well, love means nothing to a tennis player anyway.

      • You deserve more upvotes than you got. Here you go buddy, keep up the good work!

  • I don't understand the relationship between Lambda Omicron (ΛΟ) and the Australian Open.

  • +2

Thanks, I need a new set of balls.

    • also good for the womens open as well…!!

    • -1

I feel sorry for your right hand, it must get tired

  • Are these balls green or yellow?

    • +1

      They are blue

      • You got experience with blue balls? What's it like?

  • Rebel sport will price match these so you can combine it with this deal to pretty much get free balls.

    • Good to know but they are owned by the same mob - http://www.superretailgroup.com.au/about-us/brands/

      • Yeah I know, I did a placement with SRG haha. Seems to be a pretty good deal.

    • do they price match everything - for example the fitbit surge deal?

      • Not sure about everything, but they match quite a lot of stuff. They have a few conditions to meet but they're fairly basic.

  • Surely I can't be the only one laughing about the positioning of the balls and the can…

  • Pro tip: buy 2 4-ball cans and use this ball pressuriser to make them last forever.

    • do they really work? on amazon heaps of people gave them high marks, but not sure if the reviews are legit or not…

      • It won't feel 100% as new but good enough to keep using.

    • Social players can buy these…they do work. But for advanced players, don't bother. You kill any kind of ATP balls within an hour anyway. If you can play…after one hour, it's as good as doggy ball.

  • Looks like a balls up - item title and pic show 4 ball can but description states 3 ball can???

    • +1

Yeah, I noticed the amartsports website item description incorrectly states 3 balls. I can confirm it is 4 balls per can.

  • Thanks OP.

Picture states "Grass court" but description lists them as "best for hardcourt" I know that there are grass court and hardcourt version with the Australian Open brand.

Does anyone have any experience on any noticeable difference between the 2 in case I receive the grass court version via mail?

    • +1

Grass court version will fluff up very quickly if used on hard courts or even red carpet courts.

  • I wonder how quickly my dog will destroy these
