However I'm not an employee of their company, and I don't think I'm doing anything different to a random person just watching the site and posting the new deal. I want to do the right thing in regards to your request about the rep tag, and also do the right thing by the Zizzle guys who I've been friends with for a long time (and happened to do some design work for when they started Zizzle).
Am I going to get banned if I don't put the REP tag on?
@LemonChip: Ozbargain is about submitting deals that people feel are bargains. In your case, you are posting these deals to help out your friends, thus your motive is not organic. While you are not an employee of the company, your affiliation is clearly there.
What we recommend for merchants is to find the best deals and submit them, not to submit every deal that you have. Looking at some posts from Zizzle, it looks like people are starting to post up the deals anyway.
@neil: I say you ban these kinds of deals lol and just put this in the wiki http://www.allthedeals.com.au/
Majority of these deals hardly get more than a few votes.
@ozhunter: It's a bit hit and miss with these sites. Movie tickets and restaurants garner lots of votes but massage or makeup get nothing. Anyway, we are making some rule changes tonight which should alleviate some crap deals posted.
Allthedeals would be great except it doesn't have RSS feeds or an email subscription. I still would have to check the site daily and sort through all of the deals.
