Someone ran a red light and clipped my car today. My car was uninsured for damage against me and I wasn't at fault. The guy that hit me was fully insured. It looks like it may be a write off. It couldn't be driven from the scene, and was pushed to a mechanics across the road. It will need to be towed or trailered away. Would I be able to claim these costs against the guy at fault? And also taxi fares from the hospital?
Thanks
Taxi fares may fall more under his CTP insurance, but I see no reason you can't claim the tow.
As long as it's a reasonable price (i.e. When someone hires a MB to get around while their little Datsun is in the shop being repaired) and a direct consequence of the crash, you should be fine.
