How does internet connections go with apartment buildings?

Been looking at moving into an apartment building on the gold coast, what options would I have for internet connections? Would the majority have access to ADSL2?

    • Alternate provider (opticom, TPG FTTB, etc)
    • NBN
    • ADSL/HFC

Easiest to punch in the address on the telstra/optus site and see what you can get.

Almost all apartments have access to ADSL as they have a phone line connected if you're really lucky they may even have cable or nbn! Best to check with the real estate agent or property owners though!

Also depending on the area you would have to check which providers you can go with though.

    • Thanks for the help will do

The good ones know, it's a fairly big selling point these days if apartments / houses have nbn or are in nbn areas ect..

  • Depending on the area (and age) of the building. I live in a 30yo apartment building in Sydney CBD and I have access to NBN (FTTB, via copper to my unit)… I'm sure many other apartments are the same.
