Just throwing this out there as a general discussion parallel to the other post.
Aussie government decides to set up a Free Trade Agreement with Japan to make it cheaper getting certain items into the country whilst then turning around saying we'll make it more expensive to bring something else in.
Kinda counter-productive?
No such thing as a free lunch ;)
The FTA benefits the shareholders of large multinationals. The GST disadvantages every individual with the least wealthy being hit the hardest. The Australian population continues to vote against it's own interests.
A vote for either Labour or Liberal is a vote to continue things they way they are.
