Looking for 4 Tyres for Toyota Camry Altise - 215/60R16 95V

Hi Guys,
I have Toyota Camry Altise and looking to replace all four tyres.
I drive for work during week and do UBER during weekends. Drive around 500/600 KM per week.

Had a look on www.tyresales.com.au and looks a good value but not sure as all major retailers say they would beat the price.

Need your recommendation for as tyre brands and retailers for a good price and service in Melbourne west.

Thanks.

Here we learn that you shouldn't spend less on tyres for reasons that really opened my eyes.

    • Thanks. That is why i want to know if someone has recently changed them and have any suggestions on the brands.

Try tyrecompare.com.au I had success with it, took a day to get a few quotes but much cheaper than I found elsewhere

    • thanks. will check it out.

Beuarepaires has 4 tyres fitted from $399 at the moment. But i'd probably budget around $500 and make sure you get good quality.

Find your local Jax tyres, or Tyrepower.

    Buy a brand name.

    Drive on.

    • Thanks. Jax and Bob Jane both looks same. will check tyerpower though. cheers.

      • PLEASE do get a brand name, not some cheap shit Chinese crap

We got Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tyres on our Camry Altise and they've been good.

On my previous turd car, I went with brand name tyres for the first few sets. I couldn't get more than 20000km from each set of tyres. I switched to cheap and nasty blue streak tyres and they held up remarkably well, sadly they stopped selling them at Beaurepaires so switched to Hiflys for my last two sets. I managed to do around 21000km before wearing them down to nothing, and I drove mostly like a bat out of hell.
I would recommend them if money is a concern, I used to do approximately 450-500km a week and never had any problems in the wet with blue streaks or Hiflys ie could still corner at too high a speed and stop in time.

    • not trying hard enough "never had any problems in the wet"

      • Ok, I'll try harder and wrap my car around a tree for you then

    • I checked and most of good tyres brand they say do around 60k. I had kumuho n looks they warn out in about 40k. Checking bridstone as they have buy 3 n get 4th free deal. So including wheel alignment it cost me $485.looks good deal.

      • 60k is very ambitious. My old man got 60k out of his last set of tyres and I have no idea how he did it. 40k would be fantastic already!

What sort of driving are you doing? Stop start city driving or long highway trips? Fully loaded family holidays, or just driving to work? Do you drive hard, or take it easy?

City commuting, low load, taking it easy and I'd look at a cheaper tyre. Highway, loaded or hard driving and I'd start to think about premium rubber.

(I know hard driving in a camry is a bit of an oxymoron.)

Anyone who recommends a type of tyre without asking you what type of driving you do shouldn't be listened to.

    • Thanks.
I do mostly highway driving from work to home during weekdays. But do bit of UBER during weekends so could be anywhere. Around 500 to 600km/week. Appreciate yr response.
