Go on gumtree and get an ironing broad for $5 … go to kmart and buy a new cover + padding for $8.
There isn't much difference between irons - anything over $50, will be rated at 2400watts, which is the most you can plug into a standard power point. Something like the water tank capacity or weight of the iron might make a difference to you.
Philips Azur Performer Plus. Couldn't be happier with ours after years of another brand failing.
Agree with Bunnings for the board. However, I spent $120 on the Oates Imperial and its extra size means ironing larger items can be done a lot quicker. It is also higher than our last board, so it's easier on our backs. Bunnings have several boards in their range, so you will find something that suits.
+1 for Philips
Yeah Phillips seems to be the way to go with irons. Although mine sits there in the cupboard because I cant be bothered ironing :P - the Sunbeam ironing board seems alright too.
It is a tiny bit over your budget but the Sunbeam ironing boards are very good quality (they come with a 5 year warranty) - https://www.binglee.com.au/sunbeam-sb4400-moder-ironing-boar…
I agree with everyone else on the irons - Go for a Phillips, something like this (which has a $30 cashback at the moment bringing the price from $99 to $69 - you have to purchase before midnight tomorrow to be eligible for the cashback) - https://www.binglee.com.au/philips-gc4517-20-azur-performer-…
Just buy a $12 iron from kmart. I've never had a fancy iron with all the buttons and gadgets. If you're looking for something different & really good which will be out of your budget most likely. Try on of these.

Thanks got one.
But the water is spilling on low speeds.
Might have to return back :(
Low speeds?
Low speed
@ozzyoi: Low speed?
Thank you. I will have a look at it.
I was thinking of a Philips steam iRon and a board but it's way over my budget
got my ironing board from bunnings for around $50, better than the ones in bigw and kmart.
