    *in-game currency.

    • Its heaps. Plus with Ed and 2 stages coming out you need so much money now.

      • Without mentioning in-game currency in title, it's click bait.

        I would suggest:

        Free in-game money ($50k) PS4 Street Fighter V

Lol new character costs 100k they give you 50k

    • If they gave money everytime a character is out whats the point of DLC they need to let ppl grind a bit OR pay. Thats the point. 50k is perfect.

      • Theres been like 9 dlc characters so they could give you enough for 1

        • I'm going to wait for an expansion pack update that includes it all. Like Arcade Edition or something.

  • I have 64k now. 50k more will give me AKUMA!

I miss the days where I had to just beat the game with certain characters and conditions to unlock the questsion marks in the character select screen. Oh well, thanks for the deal anyways :)

    • and have to beat the game like x10 to get another new character lol.

I hate that this isn't out for XB1. GRrrrrrrrr

      You're not missing much.

      • It's alright - not enough characters though and the DLC is just a rip off.

Injustice 2 offers double the characters and a tonne of customization at launch. Much better deal.

    • Its an exclusive game…. this has existed forever…. mario etc.

      • Well yeah, but Mario is developed by a first party company. Games like Halo are made by second party companies.

SF has always been made by a third party company, Capcom. SFIV was on everything, so was SF3 and SF2. Mario has never been on Sony, so your analogy breaks down a little bit.

        • Capcom is not a cash rich publisher. Sony moneyhatted the game. Capcom said if Sony didn't do that, they wouldn't have bothered making it. Their limited cash would have went to another game instead.

It's possible they pitched it to MS for an exclusive, and MS either declined or didn't pay enough. Sony paid them, and it got made. It was either going to be PS4+PC exclusive, or no game at all. If Sony is funding all development, it's not going to release on Xbox.

Exclusives where a first party publishes a third party game happen all the time. Mario is not a good example, but things like Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall, etc.

This just happens to be the fifth game in a series, but that doesn't mean deals like that don't happen. Rise of the Tomb Raider for example was Xbox exclusive (for a year) despite never being an Xbox exclusive before that. Acecombat 6 is the only Acecombat game to never release on a PS console. It was 360 exclusive. MS paid for a lot of exclusives of long running series that gen actually. Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean 4, among other things.

        • @lostn:

If sony paid for the development and wanted exclusive so sell more ps4 consoles. I dont know why they agreed to release it on PC.

I know for a fact that all the ppl I know with no ps4s just bought the PC version.

It was a dumb move by sony. Sf4 had a bigger xbox community. So they just all went to PC.

        • @suicine94: Capcom insisted on it. And Sony didn't see the PC as a direct competitor. Not every Xbox gamer is a PC gamer. There's a significant cost difference in machines.

PC is a neutral platform. Even MS allows its exclusives on the PC. Which means PS4 owners can just buy the PC version. Neither side cares about losing sales to the PC.

It likely would have cost a lot more to keep it to PS4 only, and Sony didn't feel the extra expense was justified.

That Xbox community is not in tact on the PC. Steam and XBL don't share the same friends list.
