Hey everyone, I was wondering if I should purchase the Lenovo yoga 510 with 8gb ram, i3-7100u or the Lenovo miix 700 with 8gb ram, m5-6y54

I have a Yoga 260 and a Miix 720 for work. Yoga is a much better work device - it feels far stronger, the keyboard is better, etc…
Depends how often you plan to use in detached mode though. The Yoga is still very thick when keyboard is folded back. That being said, they're very different use devices.
just to add in, yoga 260, superseded by 370 now is commercial / enterprise grade. yoga 510 is consumer grade. miix ranges are the detachable; but it sits in semi-commercial level.

The Yoga 510 is a low-mid-range notebook, it is larger, thicker, heavier, study, slightly faster and noisier.
The Mix 700 is a mid-high-range convertible, its smaller, thinner, lighter, but its clunkier and slower.That's the differences.
Ask yourself if you would be content with the slightly/noticeably worse speeds, keyboard, and flimsiness of the Mix.
If you are, get the Mix.But if you need the laptop to have a decent keyboard, decent performance… just get the Yoga.
However, note the Yoga is a cheaper-built product and has a cheaper screen, no pen, webcam, wifi card etc etc..P.S. If you like the Miix 700, but wish it was slightly more polished and had better performance?
There is the Miix 720 which can come with a Core i3-7-U, Core i5-7-U, and Core i7-7-U. It comes with a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port.
There's also the Miix 510 Pro, and the Acer Switch 12 Alpha.

Good luck with it even though you dislike the main input device. At least you have a nice light device to carry with. Hopefully it's durable enough for school use!
Yeah, however I actually have no experience with the keyboard and mouse, just lots of reviews and stuff suggest it's bad. I guess I'll see if I enjoy the keyboard and I'll update you all

Depends on your use. If you need to do some serious work, then the Yoga 510 is better.
If you want something smaller and lighter to browse the web, then the miix 700.
I would get the fanless miix myself.
