Shop assistant insisted genuine goods in the store but it was fake when I open the boxes and tried them.

  • Call your credit card provider and they'll tell you what you can/can't do.

  • +2

Go to your bank and ask to do a chargeback.

  • Take photos if they help your case.

  • Could it be very old stock and the smell has gone bad?

  • how do you know its counterfeit and not say a product made for that country (slightly different product and packaging)

  • Which country? How do you know they are counterfeit? Have you called your bank yet?

  • I checked the box and the batch number. It looked very legitimate but when I opened the box I can see the bottle are not of Dior quality. The longevity of the smell doesn't project as original genuine quality. I have kept all original receipt and will contact my bank when I get back to Perth. I got 3 bottles in Kuala Lumpur.

  • Would you mind explaining a bit more what Dior quality is and what your expertise is in comparing perfume brands and types? Do you have the exact same perfume in 'genuine' form? Perhaps you got a tester? The practice of selling unused testers (for cheap) is quite common in Asian discount retailers. Doesn't mean its fake/counterfeit.
