Best Buffets in The West (Sydney)?

Looking at scoping a few buffets for a birthday function celebration.. any recommendations. Probably around 30-40 guests only.

This will most likely be a lunch weekend or dinner weekday occasion.

Preferably some where in the west between Parramatta and Penrith.

But taking ideas for blue mountains and Campbelltown too.

  • Bankstown and Seven Hills RSL

    • 30-40 people…OP will probably end up broke if he/she dines there.

      • Hey it might work out cheaper than a Chinese or Thai restaurant.

    • I've heard good things abiut seven hills rsl buffet

      • Been there a few times not bad. It's last resort if nothing else comes up that is new.

5 loaves of bread 1 tub of butter 2 bottles of free tap water.. open park in selected suburb area.. free cash money.. win win.

    Optional: plates.. And napkins..

Why not take up your own suggestion?

Starbuffet is definitely the best $ to quality wise. Many locations.

Highly recommend Star Buffet. Given the range of food, all should find at least something to munch on. Because it is popular, there is a good turnover of food/freshness. Personally, seeing a lot of other people eat makes me more likely to eat too (and eat too much!).

  • Merrylands Bowling Club. $33.50 per head.

I hate going here because the food is good and I over-eat.

  • Haveli - at Quaker's Hill.

    $28pp

Blacktown RSL and Seven Hills Star Buffet is nice. Lunch buffet can be had for $15 per person. Star Buffet especially has the freshest Chinese bbq and roast pork and duck. Blacktown RSL has nice selection of Chinese food. If you have the money you can also go to Sae Jong Korean buffet in Carlingford for $35 per person but dinner only.

  • I went to penrith rsl recently (star buffet, plenty around). With about 20 people. You can't make a booking. You have to rock up with everyone at the same time and get a ticket. A very long line but it moved quickly. Keep that in mind if you're doing a birthday as all your guests will have to wait. It was quick for us because the buffet just opened and the whole line moved in.

You do not want to go to any buffet in the west, the people that go there and take their entire family to stuff their face is just ugh.
