Hi Ozb,
I am chasing a scale that syncs with an app on your phone that reads your body weight and body fat. Anyone have or know of a decent one currently?
I have read a few reviews/roundups but still can't decide.

Thanks, I do love Xiaomi.
Scales for body fat are usless. For counting macros and sync with an app, yeah.
Get a dexa scan for body fat and look at yourself naked in the mirror every other month and see what changes.
Fully agree, body fat scales are completely useless, different brands will give you hugely different results, complete waste of time.
I know they are very inaccurate. However using it to track your progress can give meaningful results as I just want to track the BF is going down rather than what % I am at.
Buy cheap body fat calipers, much more accurate.
I don't think you understand why they're innaccurate: it's because some nerd programmed a guess into it which you think is credible because it's vaguely associated with computers and it's called smart.
It has zero ways of reading our body fat percentage. You might as well just ask someone to guestimate it for you, the result is the same.
I'm not convinced they can even do that, it will go up and down like a yoyo depending on way too many factors. I have some, and have used others. Don't waste your money.
Withings and fitbit aria. Have had both over the last 4 years or so. Fitbit Aria scales were great until we got a new router, they are only compatible with a few routers and it's extremely frustrating.
Withings scales are much easier to set up and they also tell you the weather LOL!!
Both sync with a the fitbit app, my fitness pal, etc.
+1 I've had a Withings for over almost three years now and love it so much that I gave a couple to family at Christmas. They are on the pricier end of the spectrum though and if I was shopping again today I'd definitely look at xiaomi and others before pulling the trigger.
Bodyfat scales send a small electrical pulse and it measures how long it takes etc ie: uses fluid in your body for this. I don't know the full tech on it.
But remember some females can gain 1kg of fluid overnight, so the body fat calculation would be huge when in fact its only fluid.
They are no good.
The mirror/clothes fitting is the best.
I bought the Xiaomi body fat scales. These just came out a few weeks ago and syncs with healthkit on iOS via the Mi Fit App. I'm sure it can sync through Google Fit as well. Its so much cheaper than the other well named brands like FitBit.
