I bought mine mid 2016 and it costed me $96 for 2x8gb ddr4 2666mhz corsair red.
Yes they have. Due to kayblake (200 series boards) using DDR4 and Ryzen using DDR4, demand for DDR4 has thus increased. Last year, we only had one platform (Kabylake) so demand was lower, and so was the price.
This, and the NAND shortage. SSD and DRAM prices have skyrocketed.. again.
Potenza…I thought for a second Bridgestone started making RAM…
