Was downstairs in David Jones Melbourne CBD at lunch and they have these boxes of Truffles reduced to clear from $24.95 to $3.00
Unsure if reduced at other locations
There are two dates on the box
27.05.2017 & 27.08.2016. One possibly a 'Sell By' date and the other a 'Use By' date but unsure.
There was possibly 50+ boxes
Also various chocolate bars of Lindt for $1.23 on clearance

Dunno why there would be two dates on the box; Lindt usually only have one date on the box, which is the best before date.
Edit: You said the date was 2016; maybe that's a manufacturered date
