thanks to @barginsarelife for their post about $40 off $100 purchase at Spotlight although no thanks to Spotlight for their bad online purchase procedures.
11th May - I placed my order being made up of sheet set, timber blind on clearance and a bed pack.
17th May -After no communication about my order being processed I rang Spotlight and was told they had received my order and it was being processed.
18th May - received email with tracking details for sheet set only and a generic note stating that some items may be sourced from different locations and be sent separately.
22nd May - received email stating the order for timber blind was cancelled as they no longer had it in stock and that I hadnt been charged for it.
I rang customer service and asked how stock was "available online" when I made my purchase but now its not in stock. After telling them they must have an outdated website system that cant manage stock count I was told that the t & c state that stock isn't guaranteed to be available. I mentioned that I paid extra for delivery being a bulky item so I was told I will receive $11 refund with 48 hours (hmm we'll see) I asked what was happening with bed pack and was told it was still being sourced.
I went back to my Paypal transaction and found that on 18th May only $34.76 was charged from my $83.99 invoice, after calculations I find that I was only charged for the sheet set and bulky item delivery charge. Obviously the bed pack wont be coming anytime soon!
I have painted wood trims ready for white blind leaving a bare window and also new bed is bare waiting for delivery and my house guests arrive on Saturday!Funny Spotlight have a new blind, same blind but now called FRESH WHITE instead of WHITE and $190 more expensive!
Have any other Oz Bargainers had bad shopping experience with Spotlight?
I understand your frustration, but if the T&C states that, you won't have a leg to stand on unfortunately.
