Does anyone else find Jetstar's new membership-prices-first layout annoying?
Basically the header will list the member prices in purple in the header (if available), and again using a large purple font in the body. The normal prices are shown in an orange smaller font underneath the member price, in the body only (http://imgur.com/a/NWtpP).
While the differences aren't dramatic for now, it's clear how this layout was intended to deceive customers and can be abused over time. Perhaps a higher level membership program would consistently give $40 discounts or more which would make the advertised prices look much more attractive. "OMG! All flights are only $1!!! Oh, damn…it's for Jetstar's Diamond club members that pay $10000 per annum…").
It seems like the airlines will always look for ways to re-introduce the concept of "additional taxes and fees not included"…
