Recent 'adult content' deletion..

To the moderator who deleted it, please to be searching for 'lingerie' in the search box above, and explain why all those listings remained, but yesterdays was deleted?

I don't find lingerie sites to be adult content. I figure if you can walk past a shop in a major shopping center and see it, without giant black-outs across the store, then it's probably suitable for everyone….

  • tbh, I'd classify this as "too adult" to be posted on this site. The other sites had everything "covered". Curious about other opinions

    • Hahaha.. Ok, fair enough. I hadn't had a chance to look through the whole site, and missed the actual posting so hadn't seen any of the comments made.

All I'd seen was the corsets, as that was the 'special' mentioned.

      I apologise. :)

      • its ok. :)

from memory it was 50% store wide + free delivery. The deal directed to the front page, which has coursets & nurse costumes, hence the confusion. Alot of the site is quite revealling, i wouldnt access it at work. :/

  • I felt similar to ryang yesterday but then I actually went through the site. Whilst we have no problem with lingerie, many of the models were fully nude.

    • Not that I looked too closely at all the site ;) but the models are no more exposed than a barbie doll imo.
Unless others looked more closely than I did and can link otherwise :)

Major props dude, awesome save!!! :D

I've hidden the bookmark in with my tech stuff, the perfect crime! ;)

  • Agreed, whilst I have no problem with nudity (a mild euphemism for FWOAR!!!), IMHO it's a little too risque for OzB! ;)

  • dang.. i missed that post! :D

Pssst, don't tell anyone, but click on the word "this" in Davo's first comment! ;)

      • lol. how could i missed that link! gee… need to get my eyes checked… :/

though i think the model pics are heavily photoshopped, but still nsfw. i don't like sites which have things 'blacked' out… they could've used a mannequin instead.

        • The common trend seems to be using 'skin tone' to blend out the parts that shouldn't be shown (as its not pornography, its just marketing material).

Clearly this site didn't get the memo. ;)

@ryang: Clearly you missed the mods forum where you can talk to a mod about your issue. Were you getting a commission?!? It seems to bother you..

Ozbargain is a site that aims to make it easier for Australians to find genuine bargains. That should be fine for accessing anywhere, in front of anyone. Therefore content which makes the website inappropriate viewing at work or in front of the kids should, in my opinion, be excluded.

You may not have kids, or a job… but the rest of us do, and the site needs to be just as useful and accessible to us as to others.

    • This is true but its your decision to move your mouse over the link and click on on it in the first place.
Until you choose to click the link its as harmless as the coles/woolies spam we get.
It did say lingerie in the description so its not as if you're not aware of what could pop up on your screen.
And if you did follow the link it was for the corsets on special. So if you didnt close your browser then and kept looking thru the site then the last thing on your mind was if the bosses kids were looking over your shoulder ;)

      • Fair opinion, but like everything we cant be all things to everyone every time.

      • Fair point. But what poster should've done is to put NSFW tags at the very least?

Problem is, this is going to set precedence of how are you going to classify posts…. PG? M? MA15+? R?

I'm not very sure we want to head down that path. ;)
