I'm doing some grocery shopping online and I'm noticing Coles is often more expensive for the items I look at.
For example (RRP pricing):
- Arnott's Shapes Variety 10pk — Woolies 3.98, Coles $4.39
- Sirena Tuna in Chilli 95g — Woolies $2.50, Coles$2.75
- Old El Paso Burrito Dinner Kit — Woolies $6.49, Coles $7.15
- Golden Circle fruit pouch — Woolies $1.89, Coles $2.08
It's not always the case, but it's true for a majority of the items I might buy - probably just pricing in my locality (SE burbs of Melbourne).
For those who do grocery shopping online, how do your Coles and Woolies compare?
Coles inflate their prices for regular priced items, Woolworths do not.
Coles specials and everyday low price items are still the same online and in store though.
Next time you are in store check out the regular prices on those items and you'll see they are close to Woolworths prices.
