          Yeah ok….

No problem. Glad. I could help.

        • +2

@slimdavy5: yup, and the one you always avoid getting in to an argument with lol.

    • +8

You should apply for some reading lessons instead of a bank account.

      • +6

Do they pay a cash bonus?

  • +2

Basically just go to Westfield Parramatta, centre court on level and tell them you want to open an ING account and haven't had an everyday around since 2014.. they give you a unique code to open the account with on the spot. I needed a drivers licence and tax file number which was in my phone.

    • +1

Don't share the code it's taboo

  • It's apparently unique they entered it for me on the iPad they had

Have to be a Sunday, bring your Opal Card.

  • +3

This is a good incentive for those that never bothered joining up. It was hard enough to convince friends and family when it was $75 each. Now that the referrer gets $100 and the new customer $50 the referrer looks greased up with self-interest.

    • It's $100 each now. I signed up just last week from a mate's referral code he got via email which stated we both get $100 each.

    • +1

The $250 'The Iconic' gift vouchers a few years back was an easy sell to family! :)

  • +4

This is only a little better than the $100 referral codes we have at the moment though right?
+ We can use these without leaving the house lol.

Plus if you refer family members, well you increase the family's wealth by $200

    • +1

      You're lucky! Or mistaken…

My lousy personal code only gives the new customer $50 (as I mentioned above).

"We've got Orange Everyday bonuses available for you and any eligible friend you think might be up for it. Just so you know, there's zero pressure, zero ING DIRECT monthly fees on the account, and zero hassles if you're eager to take part. But! It's for a limited time only.

      $100.00 for you
      +
      $50.00 for each of them"

      • +5

I'm lucky then. I currently have a code:
        $100 for you
        $100 for them

        I've had $50 and $75 codes before, just wait until it's a $100 + $100 then invite your family :)

        • +1

          Argghhh!

I wonder if it's random or there's a logical algorithm based on other activities.

I'm not very good at convincing people. Even people that have $2000 in savings lying around, constantly complain about having no money but can't be arsed killing any time to do it. Most people aren't OzBargainers it appears.

        • @peterpeterpumpkin:

Must be random, my code is $100 for you and $100 for them also.

I transferred $1,100 when i opened the account get the free $100 and then transferred all the money out. So i wouldn't think i was a great customer to get the $100 code.

        • @rockgod: I think it's random too.
I moved all my savings here, and put my pay here and referred 7 people.
My wife just put $1001 in and moved $1076 out, but she still gets the same codes I do…

        • -2

I too have a code for $100 for me and $100 for them. I guess it depends on how much balance you have been maintaining and how old customer you are.

        • @albinogodwill:
Enable private messages then send me one.
Codes posted here will be blacklisted by ING

  • How do you get $200 for family members ?

    • 100 for you as the referrer, and 100 for the family member signing up

      • Is that a seperate Targeted offer ?

        • +1

Yep, once you have an account, you'll get random emails from them with referral codes ranging from $25 - $100.

If you have an account, then get one of these emails, you and the person you invite, will both get + $100 (or 75, 50. I wouldn't do it for $25 or $50, wait until it's $100).

  • +1

I kinda wish that this was available at Marion Westfield, but still this is a nice deal. Good work OP.

  • +1

Has anyone received any bonus via OzB referrals? Mine was clicked multiple times but never seen a dime. Is this because people never actually completed the quest or because ING is not paying referrals originating from OzB?

    • +1

…you use this offer in a manner that is not satisfactory to us or in line with the intent of the offer (such as sharing your referral code on the 'OzBargain' website or other similar websites, or advertising or marketing your referral code), we may refuse to pay the cash bonus (including in respect of any or all referrals made in relation to the offer). This includes conduct on your part which is designed to undermine the fair and intended operation of the offer.

Straight from the email they sent us with the referral code!

      • Lol they must be monitoring referral codes on Ozbargain!

    • I wonder because I have had a couple clicks but not seen anything. I have referred people from other sources, and I only got one bonus about a week ago. Was expecting more..

I really don't see how it is not legitimate to share it on OzBargain anyway when they encourage to share it on social media..

  • NSW only? that's racism at state level!

  • Havent' enjoyed ING at all since signing up. They haven't paid the bonus interest. They claimed that the bonus I signed up for was for the other person and not for me. They take forever getting back to me. Seems very dodgy and I'm regretting moving my cash there.

    • What "other person"?

      • +1

They argued a referral signup bonus gave the other person 75 not both of us. Which is bullshit cos I know what I clicked on and I wouldn't have signed up if it only gave them a bonus cos I'm a greedy (profanity) with no friends lol

        • +1

Yeah that sounds like an ING error. All ING signups via referrals will benefit the both of you. So if your friend receives the bonus, that means it was tracked, so you should get the $$$ too. Get a screenshot of the referral deal and fight back.

        • @Fobsessive: happened to me when I joined, I messaged them to no avail, in the final message I told them that I would withdraw all my money and close the accounts down, weeks passed but alas they did not give me my bonus nor reply back, so one evening with a heavy heart and no bonus in my wallet I withdrew my cash to my previous bank, with the text entered in the description "closing down ING accounts", the next morning $75 dollars was in my ING account.

The message here is that relationships take time to build, they don't happen overnight.

P.S. ING has removed removed the 2% Paywave cash back, divorce looks imminent, if it wasn't for the 3% savings account :(

        • +2

@Wystri Warrick: Well the 2% removal was because of increased EFTPOS regulations, not entirely their fault.

        • @Fobsessive: still grounds for a divorce

      • +1

In my previous referral, I (the referrer) got $75 but my friend did not. When i checked the T&Cs, it was clear that in that particular promotion, only the referrer gets the bonus but not the referred person.

    • +1

They've been useless since they had stopped paying for paypass. Even normal scheduled payments are a pain. Unlike Ubank they can't auto replenish your account from savings and will not proceed scheduled credits from savings to current before scheduled debits, thusly failing your payments.

    • +1

hey, they also said the same thing to me when I asked my friend if they got their bonus (because neither of us received it). My friend told me that they said "Your friend (me) will get the bonus, but you will not" BUT neither of us got a cent. It was supposed to be $50 each, and ING also said it was "$75". When I challenged them, ING said that my code has not been used. Very dodgy, I am losing respect for ING to be honest with their fee increases and this sort of thing going on. They also ignored my message when I had a question regarding new fees. I referred another 4 people under current $100 promo, and so far only received one bonus.. not happy.

Oh man, missed out the ANZ deal and fuming. Jeez who just has a lazy $1000 laying around I'm on ozbargain cause I'm broke!

  • Please do not solicit referrals in comments.

  • +2

For all the people who cannot come to Westfield. I saw the bank rep use code Mod: Removed Code to apply this promotion.

Not sure if this will work for other states. So I cannot guarantee the cash will make it.

    • FYI, ING Direct are monitoring this thread (and have contacted us) and anyone signing up with that code who hasn't signed up in person at Westfield will not have $123 credited.

      • Thanks for pointing out. Happy for my comment to be deleted.

I went today Westfield in person and opened new account for me and my girlfriend.
They said we need to deposit 1000 dollars with in 30 days to get $123 bonus credited in our account.
They asked me only tax file number and they entered the bonus code for me.
But my girlfriend did not bring tax file number so they asked for utility bills or bank statement.
She showed from her ipad then got uploaded to ing website.
Thanks for OZ bargain community.fingers crossed for thirty days

  • +1

Thanks for opening your Orange Everyday. Your new card will arrive in 2-5 business days. In the meantime, one deposit is all it takes to activate your account (that's if you haven't already). Simple.
    Here's what to do:
Make your first deposit from an external account into your new Orange Everyday to activate your account. If no deposit is made within 30 days, the Orange Everyday will be closed.

  • Deposited $1000 in the everyday acc, and then proceeded to move it into my maximiser account a few hours later. Anyone know if that is enough to qualify for the $123 cashback?

  • Is the eligible for accounts closed before 1 July 2014?

  • -1

does this kiosk open on Saturday or Sunday?

  • I have opened an account at westfield but could not see how to add a referral link.
Now I would like a family member to sign up, if this is possible, can someone point me to how I can get referral bonuses as well as the $123 from ING?

    • +1

You have to wait until you are targeted by email to get your own referral link. You may not be included for this round of referral bonuses, so they would either go to the kiosk in person, or you could ask someone on OzBargain for their referral code.

  • -1

I signed up at Westfield a few weeks ago today I got my bonus $123 plus a $100 promo code for friends and family in my email.

  • got only $100 dollar promo code but I didn't get $123

  • I got the $100 promo code too! Haven't got the cashback yet though :(

    • The same happened to me too. Can we share promotional code in Ozbargain.

  • hmmm got the $100 refer-a-friend code myself too

  • I got my $100 referral and my mother also got hers. Shows up as Miscellaneous Credit & Thank-ING you.
