I do online surveys, have multiple email accounts and use different survey companies.
I haven't had to pay for petrol or 80% of my groceries for the last six years.
I also only do surveys during work time and my lunch break.

Please reread his post.I'm not dense. Let me be specific then, which online surveys and which survey companies are you using.
I had a couple going for a while - but the time spent out weighed the revenue being generated.

Sorry for the late reply, too busy doing surveys. Best sites include globaltestmarket, myopinions, valued opinions and attendance at various focus groups via these sites. Like I said it can be tedious and for some too time consuming but considering I work nights 6 months of the year and have multiple email accounts it is achievable.@dtnguyen: Thanks heaps.
I think it was myopinions I was on.
I always seemed to get bumped from the focus groups……. it was very annoying. Not sure of the best way to remedy that!

I like globaltestmarket, valuedopinions, myopinions and pureprofile. They all pay via e gift cards except for pure profile which also has a bank transfer component.
My suggestion is to sign up to as many sites as possible and accumulate points via each, I withdraw points every two or so months once they have accumulated and with 6 email addresses this can be anywhere between $400-$600 dollars.
The top way is selling courses about how to make money on the internet and then selling them to wannabe spammers.
I think some people pay other people to just talk to themselves in front of a webcam. Many sites now you could try that. Or develop. Create a game or app that needs filling add some sort of monetization. Bazinga.

I actually googled this exact topic the other day expecting to view 100's of spam/get rich quick/ waste of time ideas….Oddly enough some really good concepts and ideas are out there which can be found by googling. There is also a really good multipage write up about making moeny in the sharing economy (via website portals) in this months Money Magazine (which can be downloaded free via Zinio Libraries with any Library membership - search other ozb posts for details on how to get almost unlimited legit free magazines in electronic format)

Doing SEO or search advertising for mid sized local businesses brings in decent cash. Roughly $150-200 an hour for freelance if you've been doing it for years. Used to do Google audits and recommendations for a few grand a pop, usually as a third party perspective to a company thats unsure if their media agency is good or not.
I remember watching a documentary which had a guy in it that got paid mad dollars to smoke meth and do gay cam shows.
So there's that.
