CeBIT 2017 at ICC Sydney Darling Harbour - Who is going?

In the past we always have those free exhibition pass to CeBIT deals. This year it appears that they don't even bother as they figured most people just find coupon code to come to the exhibition to grab freebies so now you just need to register online to get the free tickets.

This year they are also moving back to Darling Harbour (it was in Olympic Park 2014-2016).so I might actually come. Unfortunately I am running out of OzBargain T-shirts so won't be able to give them away like what I did back in 2013.

Anyone else coming? Or actually participating in the exhibition or doing presentations?

    Not this year unfortunately… But is it even worthwhile? Last time I went was about 6 years back, and it was mostly just a sales pitch.

    i went last year and did not collect many pens, so i wont be there this year.

          @Savas: I wish… Remember OzBargain was first started as a blog back in 2005, as a hobby website because I have a full time job as a software architect…

        "Tech" more sales pitch than tech.. ces is the one you want to try and get into for tech.

    I have registered but probably won't go. There were very freebies last year and this year there is no free 3 day travel pass, probably because of the location at Darling Harbour.

    Well. I went and checked out CeBIT this year and it's quite a disappointment comparing to a few years ago. Only one exhibition hall with not many vendors. No big name hardware shops like Dell, HP, Samsung and Lenovo. Only a few recognisable names. On one side it's full of startups that you don't know whether they'll exist in 12 months time, and another side it's full of out sourcing companies doing app & web developments.

    No wonder it's free this year, no coupon required.

    Give it a pass if you haven't been there.
