Any links that back that up?
I'm looking for an electric one where you can turn the jack on and jack off…
dont talk SHIT
Have fun working on a car with a $10 supercheap auto jack. Followed by it failing and you being killed by your own car.

Do you have any stats on how many cheaper jacks have failed compared to this one, or are you just making stuff up?

Why do you think cheap jacks keep getting recalled?
By all means JV use cheap jacks but don't try and make out that buying a more expensive jack from a known manufacturer is a waste of money. You may not value your life but others who value theirs would be best advised to buy quality. Combine a cheap jack with cheap safety stands and it's a recipe for disaster.
I've read about hundreds of trolley jack failures on various forums, dozens of deaths and I don't recall any of them being from a reputable manufacturer.

There are many more than what you've listed that haven't been recalled and I don't see any evidence that his jack is better than all of them.
@jv:
I'm not here to chime into the the argument of which is better, but the fact that this Kincrome jack goes down to 700mm is a selling point for me and my needs.
but the fact that this Kincrome jack goes down to 700mm
most people don't have lowered hoon cars though, so it has limited appeal as a feature.

Ignore the links all you like but we all know that you are only here to stir things up and you have no interest in trolley jacks.
All the recalls are listed below. Branded jacks are mentioned twice. Kingchrome had two recalls, one was for labelling and the other one was because a batch of 100 had an issue that they identified and they recalled them.
The rest are all no name jacks.

Another pointless JV comment. What if they want to use a polyurethane jacking pad to protect the sill or the folded seam? This adds 30-40mm to the height of the jack so you need to get a lower one.
@jv:
You're lucky I'm not an admin, I would've IP banned you a long time ago. Your comments almost never contribute anything but negativity. Usually I just skip your comments but this one had too many replies to do so.
yawn…. ( ¯ ö¯ )
if you didn't like my comments, you'd hide them.
the fact that you haven't just shows your real intentions here…
@jv:
I didn't know you could hide comments up until now. I still won't be hiding them because I like seeing people make a fool of themselves.

Well there, you go… It's a win-win…
I like seeing people make a fool of themselves.
You should post more comments then…
@jv:
First time one of your comments has actually helped
meanyone on this website.Still waiting for you to make a helpful comment though…
Case Closed
That only 'helped' 2 people, one of them is ' trevor99', so that doesn't count. It actually negates the other vote.
@jv:
That's double the amount of people you've helped. kbye.
@jv:
I'm not here to cater to everyone. Merely sharing it for those that it does appeal to.
You should never work under a vehicle supported by only a jack, regardless if it's an expensive jack.
Always "pack as you jack" and have a secondary support ie car stand etc to support the load in combination with the jack.
My young fella uses one and I'm glad he purchased an expensive, heavy duty jack. Working under vehicles can be very dangerous, so price should not be the consideration.
My young fella uses one
Glad you didn't say old fella
Working under vehicles can be very dangerous
I wouldn't be relying on a jack if working under a vehicle, there are much safer options…
Old fella:
JV! You are soooo rude ;-)Safety:
Sorry. Wasn't specific enough…
He uses jack stands and diligently follows safety procedure, but still needs to reach in under the car to position the jack stands.I wouldn't be relying on a jack if working under a vehicle, there are much safer options…
What are these JV? You have to reach under the vehicle to position the jack stands.
What are these JV?
Sorry, can't provide that info over a forum, not covered by OzBargain's public liability insurance. You'll need to do you own research.
I don't think $329 is anything special. I can see at least two or three other stores doing the same price. Even the Kincrome catalogue just says "lower price" which probably means very little. Their website even lists the RRP as $329.
because it's a promotion coming from Kincrome themselves .. they even state on their site it's a promotion.
same price as 13 May 2017

same price as 30 April
https://web.archive.org/web/20170430033655/http://www.kincro…NO DEAL
someone or everyone neg this non deal
lol. your archive captures are of just their official website, of course it's going to show the same price as my link. but hey, if you want a comparison with a reseller who is not participating in the promo sale; https://www.sparesbox.com.au/kincrome-trolley-jack-low-pro-2…
whatever. just trying to help out.
lol
You're in a cheerful mood.
lol, just amusing
@illuzi0nz:
you do realise stores can sell products for whatever price they like,heres 3 other stores selling it for the same price
https://www.toolmart.com.au/k12076.html
http://www.transquip.com.au/products/Kincrome-Hydraulic-Supe…
https://www.discounttrader.com.au/product/kincrome-super-low…yes, those three other stores are selling for the same price because they are all catalogue participants, as per the Kincrome website.
they can sell for whatever price they want, even at a loss? don't think so. they buy it off kincrome at a cheaper price when products are on promotion.
your argument is invalid.
@illuzi0nz:
deal is invalid, because its not a deal as shown with all the links above.
comparing the price to a spares box while other competitors are selling it for the same price doesn't make it a deal.@tuzii:
You should neg it then….
/s@nocure:
I CANNOT.@tuzii: How hard is it? The price reflects the price listed as a special price in the Kincrome catalogue, a catalogue found on the counter of most parts and tool stores. So yes, the price in most stores will appear the same. Its still a lower price than its usual price, and a bargain if you prefer to buy reputable brands. If you want this brand when this special promo price ends, you will pay more.
@Tuba:
It's not a deal, the price has been the same since the end of April.@tuzii: Kincrome sales dont run for a week, sometimes they run for months. Still a sale on Kincrome branded items.
So it's been there since the end of April. This promotion could have started back then and not been shared. It does not take away from the fact that this is saving me $170. Regardless of whether it is a short term sale or a permanent drop in price, it is still significantly cheaper than what it was.
Maybe I'm not understanding the term 'deal' correctly.
I save my daily negs for you jv
that's not what you said on your deleted personal attack comment…
@jv: Ok. You're so soft jv. You personally attack every single poster on this site. Now run along to the mods again.
You personally attack every single poster on this site
I think you have become delusional.
Can you please show me where I've attacked every single poster on this site ?
PS. You forgot to neg my comments above…
@kevsta89:
i like JV, she injects good vibes into a bargain website.
unlike you kevvyunlike you kevvy
Do you think it might be Kevin Spacey?
His movies have been bombing lately so he might be diversifying into trolling?
@jv:
maybe its Kevin McQuay back from the grave@tuzii: Statistics 114 posts / 45037 comments
sure is injecting something…
Nice wheels. Probably sounds a lot better than my Costco trolley that sounds like a freight train crashing.
Seems expensive for a jack.
