Goose Down Quilts

As I am ageing I find that my current quilt does not keep me warm enough.

Looking around fto get a 95-100% goose down queen size quilt for round $300 dollars and what I see out there confuses the hell out of me

I thought Siberia/Poland/Hungary were all in Europe - how then do they have Hungarian Gioose down quilts, Polish Goose down quilts, Siberian Goose down quilts and European Goose down quilts?

Is it all another marketing ruse?

Whitish would be the warmest Oz Quiltanarians?

  Look at the fill power rating of the quilt rather than the name/type - around 800 fill power is considered to be top of the range.

  FYI people in Europe have central heating and insulated houses that's how they manage cold

  Find out which country has the coldest winters. I'm guessing Siberia? The down from those geese would in theory be better at combating cold better than the others.

  European down quilts are for the inclusive, non racist minded purchaser.

  Disclaimer: I have no knowledge on this topic (obviously). I'm half joking, half serious BTW.

    would have thought Siberia - but they are the cheapest by far so sus.

  We bought one from Supreme Quilts in South Australia, although from their eBay shop using one of the eBay sales. I found this shop through recommendations on Whirlpool.

  It was also recommended to go with a single channel quilt so you can make it warmer or cooler by shaking the down to where you want it.

  We live in NSW and opted for a King size, 3 blanket warmth quilt and it is perfect for our requirements and not too heavy. Best of all it only cost a couple hundred $, not the stupidly high prices you see in most retail stores.

    Yes, I used these guys as well I'm pretty sure. However, unlike my nimble fingered friend here, I ordered a 5-blanket warmth and now can't use it because I wake up feeling like i'm melting

    Definitely recommend 3-blanket warmth

    Was in DJ this morning and one was being offered to me for $1,799.

    For that price I can 3 delivered from the US.
