The $25 voucher with points and pay has a minimum points component of 4100 points, so no good for anyone planning on joining just to take advantage of this deal. Hopefully there are some Emirates members here who can use this deal though.

  • $25 gift card redemption give an error that only $50 and $100 cards are redeemable with the code.

You can't change it to ZERO miles. It's asking for XXXX miles e.g it wants 40400 points + $116USD for a $250 card!!! pretty useless. EHS has always been a complete ripoff anyway so I was quite surprised when I initially saw this deal. Obviously not a deal.

People UP voting based on what???? Title??

Quite useful if you have spare miles but no idea where to spend them (like me). I don't fly often so my miles would otherwise just expire.
Having said that, I agree about EHS in general, especially their Point+Pay policy - for a AUD $25 gift card you can opt to pay 4,100 miles plus US $26.42 (~AUD$36).

  • On a tangent to this, does anyone know if there are any Westfield located Apple Stores which accept Westfield Gift Cards?

I believe they used to but stopped around 2014, although the information is vague — basically just dropped off the "Accepted at these stores" lists. I'm wondering if there are still stores inside Westfields which will accept them.

    • You can check on each Westfield website the retailers which accept gift cards.

    • Westfield gift card is same as EFTPOS gift card ;)

      • +1

There are Westfield gift cards to be used within the Westfield centre, and there are Westfield EFTPOS gift cards which can be used anywhere including outside of Wesfield where EFTPOS is accepted.

from my experience pretty much everywhere. They don't openly say this but I have used it all over the place in the past. Even random small cafes who have nothing to do with Westfield. If I remember correctly (might be wrong) I couldn't use it at Bunnings. The card itself is actually pretty good (especially when we had the AMEX deal last year)

        • That is their trick to get you to pay the higher fee.

  • What a pity it has a minium amount of points.

    That just got me thinking
Could it possible to open an account. And transfer amex rewards points to the program?

    • Don't know but EHS is a terrible way to spend your points.

      • I don't know how much an Etihad points are worth but 40k points plus 136 aud for a 250 card seems very expensive

        Even with 10% off

  • I'm on 56k points and nearly half of that will expire end of this year. I believe the best way to use Skyward Miles is to upgrade or purchase flights. It costs USD 25 per multiple of 1,000 Miles so that is basically pointless. They don't have a great range of products to redeem, so the gift cards are the next best thing. Unless something else great pops up or anyone can think of anything better, this is a good deal for me since i won't be flying Emirates anytime soon. 53,820 Miles for a $250 Westfield Gift Card (with WESTFIELD10 promo).

    • yeah fair enough… I remember having to do the same thing for my folks and was shocked at how bad the programme was. Ended up just getting some stuff + postage etc just to use up the points but overall it was a terrible deal. The funniest part of the programme is xfering points. There's some exorbitant fee to perform xfers that imo are actually worth MORE than the value of the bloody points in the first place.
