      you mean sack

    • Not for everyone.

  • +3

Plumbus! The all purpose home device. I use mine multiple times a day, you definitely can't survive without one.

  • Use of Hand………so many ways..every day…

    • Thanks but no thanks.

      • +2

I thought that's what the hanky is for … confused.

  • The real list is a short list:

    • Oxygen
  • +3

Time. And apparently you don't use it wisely.

  • +1

    Money is daily uses …

  • +1

    Lights.

    Doors.

    Triple-breasted Whore of Eroticon Six.

    • She died :(

    • -2

      Light's- Electronic product
Doors- If I add this then more people with come up with suggestions like - Oxygen, brains, house, butt, sofa, chair.
Triple-breasted Whore of Eroticon Six- No comments.

      • A lot of watches today are electronic, and it is on your list.
No doors, but mattress and sheets are fine?
        Modern ATM cards have electronics.

        • -1

I removed ATM cards. The door is already in the house and you don't have to go and buy a new one like a mattress.

        • There would be more doors in a house than mattresses. Doors are more common.

  • +2

American Express. Dont leave home without it.

    • -3

Yes, I will add thanks. Atm Cards.

      • Modern day credit cards are electronic.

  • Cutlery, frying pan, knife?

    • house, butt, sofa, chair?

      No thanks.

      • You wanted a list, those were the things that I left out when I moved into a furnished place.

        • Sorry If I sounded like cocky and okay I will consider it.

        • @TurkishDelight: If I sounded defensive, that's not what I meant to do. I kinda cut to the point when I use phone to comment and I realised that I may have sounded bit defensive.

Anyways, so what's the theme of your list? I kinda get that it's every day item, but it seems to be a subset of that.

If it is by how long they last (so things that you need to replace often are on the list), I get the feeling that mattress shouldn't be on there.

If it is by what you carry, again mattress.

So can you specify what you want for the items to be in the list?

        • @Oversimplified: Nothing concrete but I don't want bulky items to consider. I agree that mattress should not be on the list. However, what I meant with the title was the thing that everyone uses like blanket, belt, wallet.

        • @TurkishDelight:
You are not making any sense. You add things like comb, belt and nail clippers. All of which are used by LESS people compared to many other things you discarded, like mattress. You need to define a strict boundary as it's currently just random items you've picked, many of which are clearly NOT used by everyone.

Take belt. Many men use it, maybe even a majority, but far from everyone. More importantly, if you get a group of women together, the majority would NOT wear one. I mean, how many dresses has got a belt for example? Then you might as well add hand lotion and makeup etc.

  • baked beans - when you need some gas

  • Is this a serious thread? The list must be endless. OP - why are you asking for this?

    • -3

      Like I said

I am making a journal. I am making a list of everything that comes into my mind. Just like I made a list of best cars you can buy for every budget (in my opinion). I just like to write something these days and making a journal is cheap and exciting.

      • +2

Perhaps a roll of toilet paper, for a fertile mind.

  • +1

    Mug
    Bank or public transport card

    • Iron Or steamer- Electronic Item

Coffee machine- Electronic & food related item

Pen and paper- Already on the list.

  • OP is a bot

    • laughing out loud with my asz off?
Send me the link with "I am not a robot" verification and I will click on the check mark to prove it. XD

  • Next, you should put the best value product (brand/cost/where to buy it) for each of these essential items.

  • +1

    Phone case but no phone?…

  • +2

    What's the point of this?

    • +4

I'm a bit sad that I have read this thread. I was trying to find a point, maybe it is an opportunity to import crap loads of the items on the list cheap and make a killing on eBay.

OP: Just write down everything you touch each day. If you don't touch it again tomorrow cross it off the list because it is not an everyday item.

I'm also struggling with nail cutters, scissors, lighter being everyday items. Maybe weekly?

      • +1

I think you could be spot on. "No Electronic Items" yet a phone case is included? Sounds like a set of criteria for items to sell rather than a real list of items you'd use every day. No chemicals and food due to import/sale restrictions, I bet?

Everyone who answered just did this guy's marketing survey.

      • @Euphemistic haha OKay.

  • Tampex and Femme Freesh

  • -2

    Weed

  • Chloroform and handkerchief.

    • haha same niche?

    • Special K ?

      • I like Nutri-grain and just right with blueberries though. But still a food item.

  • Anal beads.

    • God gross.

      • You don't need to judge!

    1. Beer
    2. Beer
    3. Beer
    4. Stubby holder
    5. bottle opener
    • 5 is optional if you get twist tops.

  • car?
    jewellery?

  • The wheel
    Internal combustion engine

  • Chairs

  • Dwelling?

    … except the homeless

Did anyone mention toilet (any form)?

    • I don't think OP wants anything fixed permanently or semi-permanently. So toilet and possibly toilet seat are out of the question. Toilet brush may qualify since tooth brush is in the list.

  • +1

    Dental floss

    • Chemical? on floss.

      • You can get unwaxed floss, basically a piece of string.

  • Google

Like what most people use to do their homework instead of OzBargain lol

    • haha thanks. I will add Google to the list XD

  • Cutlery

  • Lotion

  • +1

Your heart. Without it you're dead.

  • Certainly not a belt, I can't even think of the last time I worse a belt. I think you're really thinking about yourself, and not what 'everyone' uses every day. Not everyone has access to a blanket and pillows. Not everyone bothers using a case with their phone. Not everyone has a phone! And not everyone wears the same fashions as you (belt and socks? I don't have any clothes that require a belt, and wear sandals most often that don't require socks.) Broaden your thinking a little and think about the lifestyles of people outside your demographic.

    • Yeah, I think I wrote the title wrong. Can you suggest me what the title should be then?

      • +1

Well, it depends on what you're trying to achieve with building your list. Do you really want to find out what 'everyone' uses every day? Or are you looking for something like 'what does the average Australian use every day', or 'what are the most commonly used daily items for Ozbargainers', etc? Define the goal of the list better and you an then more clearly target what you want to learn.

  • Cond…. iments…

  • Jacket or Jumper with (out) hoodie

  • toilet paper.
    air.
    water.

  • I'm surprised there is not a "Your Mom" comment.

  • Someone who enjoys makings lists on a daily basis would have a List.

Add that to your daily list lol

  • HANDKERCHIEF!

I don't know why it is so underrated.

Maybe its a European kind of thing. Also, having a singlet under your shirt should be necessary. Apparently almost no one has this concept of fashion?!?

    • We just don't want to carry our own snot around with us anymore.

This isn't Europe. It's Australia, and it's too bloody hot to wear too many layers. Especially in the Summer.
