  You can transfer point to "relations" so it is possible for someone to sell you points. I think you can buy from Qantas as well.

  On Ozbargain classifieds points can usually be had for 1 cent per point, however, it is against Qantas' T&C's to sell points and they have recently been cracking down and could void the points leaving you with no money and no points.

  You could go the safe path and buy the points directly from Qantas, for a bit over 2 cents per point, however, there are many restrictions regarding when you can buy points and how many. Read more about that here.

  If I were you I would buy the points of classifieds but in a different way. Find out what flight you want and how many points it would cost + taxes, then put out a wanted ad for that amount of points on Ozb Classifieds. Send them the money for the points + taxes/fees and have them book the flight for you. This is probably also against Qantas' terms and conditions but right now they are not enforcing this, just the transferring to others accounts via the family transfer feature without them being family.

  Ozbargain is not the place to sell, buy or trade points
  Its against the TOS of Qantas and is a dangerous game to be playing with the crack down of the QFF system

    I agree with you that it is a dangerous game, but as long as you are aware of the risks and are OK with them, what is the problem?
