From memory, that's a pretty good price.

Also, pretty sure that Dan Murphy's will price match.

$165 at Dan Murphy's for Johnnie Walker Blue 700ml.

Also $60 each for Laphroig (sipping that one right now) and Johnnie Walker Green at Dan Murphy's too.

All the above seen at Dan Murphy's SA, but probably nation wide.

If it's the 700mL then it's currently $165 at Dan Murphy's (and around Oz i believe):

Mmmmm, can't justify that much though, for so little, even though I want to lol

  • Not a bad deal, close to sydney airport duty free prices - they were around $175 for the 750ml and $230-240 for the 1 litre blue label, and had a promo, buy 2 bottles get a 200ml mini blue label free. Fortunately I had already picked up a 1L for around $200 at overseas DF so all good. In short, if you not flying overseas any time soon, the dan murphy $165 deal is pretty good.

Oh, and the 1st choice deal is definitely for 750ml, because that price for a 1L makes a visit to the city of churches very worthwhile :)

    • Interesting. Didn't know that Johnnie Walker blue came in two sizes, 750 and 700ml. Less than 10% difference. I wonder why Diageo bothers to sell both in Australia.

      • As far as I know, the 700ml is only available for the local (general public) market, whilst 750ml is for the duty free market. You wont see either 750 in local shops or vice versa. Not 100% sure as to the reasons why they have both, but i think 750 is in duty free to better suit the duty free allowances for each country, which tend to vary sometimes by quarter litre (250ml) increments. and the 700ml local bottle is available to better compete with other local products - you'll notice most booze comes in 700ml and 1L variants here (locally available that is).

on that note, just noticed i typed 1st choice has the 750 for that price, I meant 700.

        • 750ml is the standard size of bottles in the US. As an American I can say that I never saw 700ml bottles prior to coming to Australia

Perfect. Just in time for fathers day! Thanks.

  • Both have JW Gold for $99, which I think is better value.

  • Nice price for blue!

    • That's for the 700ml bottle not the 750ml bottle just so you know.

  • the best stuff to get drunk on

  • It's in The Age also. Their advertised prices for the wines are much lower than Coles and Woolworths even after the supposedly 30% discount on their hugely inflated prices.

  • Decent price and others have mentioned pretty good for Fathers Day.

Dan Murphy's beat prices but does anyone know by how much? Even roughly?

Not sure what to make of this:

Scroll down / ctrl+f to Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

    "Special! $126.00
    Johnnie Walker Blue Label (700ml)
1 LITRE for $180. Works out to be $126 for normal 700ml, normally $199.98. Expires 5th September 2010"

    • Holy guaca-friggin-mole!! That deal is on at:

      Your Cantina Wines
      13 Military Rd
      Avondale Heights
      VIC 3034
      03 9317 8783

If you live anywhere near this drive over immediately and grab as many 1L bottles you can afford. That is crazy cheap.

      • Yeah I ended up going over, got 2 bottles!

  • I'm new here so I've just got one question. With the deals we find, do we need to have proof for it? Such as an advertisment?

I ask that because I went to first choice yesterday and for those who prefer cogac, they have Courvoisier XO for $99! $80 saving there.

Dan Murphy have it for $99.85 which I also saw in store.

    • a website link or a reciept is well appreciated, but not essential

since your new i wont ask what cogac is:p

    • you mean to post here? nah mate, if you:
      - cant find an ad (paper based or online),
      - couldnt take a foto with your mobile, or
      - dont have a reciept as you didnt purchase the product yourself but thought it might be a good deal for someone else,

then you can just post the deal here specifying which store/state and how much you saw it for. The above just helps to corroborate your deal because often some sound too good to be true.

    • Thanks for the replies =]
