Hey all,
Looking for a cheap smartphone for dad, around $60-80, $100 max. He needs to browse the internet and not much else. Long battery life might be a bonus if possible. I always see deals for cheap phone at around $150 minimum, so wondering if anyone knows any "good" phones at this extremely low price?

I have to be honest, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. I dont think you will get a "good" phone for less than $100. You can try those really unknown chinese brands but there is no guarantee how good it will work. Xiaomi Redmi4 on Gearbest would be less than $150. Probably a good area to look into.

Perhaps stretch to a Huawei Y6 elite, but note they are locked to Vodafone, unless owner has paid to unlock.

Woolies have the optus x smart for 99. 720p 5.5 inch screen so its a decent size.
