Tontine have the worst pillows ever, they'll be flat as a pancake after one use.
Not my experience but YMMV.
You know you're old when you have to Google "YMMV"
oh man, some of the things I've googled over the years and then thought "whoa, shouldn't have done that". If you see anything labelled NSFW then brace for impact if you decide to view.
@try2bhelpful: Sometimes I use this too …

I knew what it was, it's a song by the Village People.
It's fun to stay at the YMMV.
@Scab: I thought maybe "Back of the Car". I looked up the video for this - have the people who are using this song for the car ad actually looked at the video - I love it but it is seriously messed up.
Bought two Tontine pillows from Spotlight; admittedly they were cheap at $9 each, but within a single use they were flat.
Now the dog has them to lie on.
Hmmm, sounds like your post was a touch hyperbolic in relation to the entire Tontine range of pillows; however, it is a valid thing to point out in relation to the cheap versions. On the plus side - your loss appears to be the dogs gain.
That is disappointing but I get the impression Store Rep OP is quite disinterested.

We have engaged with Scab before on previous posts and don't feel that we need to sate the same answer on each comment that Scab posts. We take all product feedback seriously and welcome any open discussions that people may have.
@Tontine Aus: Can you reassure us Member Scab's experience is unique and unlikely to occur for your prospective customers here?
@PJC: Yes, all our pillows go through intensive quality control before dispatch to our retailers and online customers as well we are also searching for new and improved fibres to enhance the life and quality of our products.
@Tontine Aus: So Member Scab's 2 pillows underwent intensive quality control before dispatch. Is there a warranty or guarantee concerning this current post?
We have engaged with Scab before on previous posts and don't feel that we need to sate the same answer on each comment that Scab posts.
You have, I don't recall?
@Tontine Aus: None of your previous OzBargain posts feature you engaging with Member Scab, who also https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4679072/redir cannot recall that. Have you a link please?
@PJC: After almost 9 hours you have not informed whether there is a warranty or guarantee concerning this post. Is that not relevant co0nsidering the intensive quality control you referred to?
That is surprising because your head does not look particularly heavy.
Everytime I see the word Tontine in the title, I keep thinking its poutine and get excited and hungry.
The thing I find interesting is the wider usage of the word tontine
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tontine
"A tontine (English pronunciation: /tɒntin/) is an investment plan for raising capital, devised in the 17th century and relatively widespread in the 18th and 19th centuries. It combines features of a group annuity and a lottery. Each subscriber pays an agreed sum into the fund, and thereafter receives an annuity. As members die, their shares devolve to the other participants, and so the value of each annuity increases. On the death of the last member, the scheme is wound up."
It leads me to speculate that, maybe, the pillows were used to hasten the death of the other members so the company decided to utilise the name. :)
OP there are still no prices in your description.

For you people who live in Melbourne I would also recommend you have a look at the Tontine outlet sales. The next one is the 19-20th of May. I went to one a couple of months ago and the prices were at least half RRP, sometimes much less than that. When I was there they had quilts, toppers, pillows, towels, sheets, etc. Quite a good range of stock.
