Fidget Spinners $6.95 @ Liberty Service Station (North Melbourne, VIC)

73

Hello Everybody!

I filled up fuel again today at the same servo I posted about a while back. Liberty Service Station, 235 Flemington Rd, North Melbourne VIC.

Today they have those fidget spinners all the kids are raving about. I bought 3 for my nephews as their dad had not been able to find them. These ones are pretty cool, with patterns and the like.

They have 2 sorts:

Plain colour - $6.95
Patterned - $7.95

This seemed like a good deal to me. Feel free to lecture me if I am wrong!! :P

Fidgeting. The latest toy craze at primary school designed to drive parents and teachers crazy.

  • Any commentary on the concept please OP? What are your thoughts?

Written on the back of the package, it says that it can help people with ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, PTSD, meditation, and boredom. I wonder if it can help wean me off OzBargain….

      • +7

That's stupid and is pure marketing. Picking your nose will help with boredom

why would you want to be weaned off ozbargain… you're crazy

It's torn me and my family apart.

Wife: "Can you please do the vacuuming!?"
Me: "Hold on one sec, theres a Xiaomi RoboVac for sale for $499 and can be delivered in 3 weeks!"

          3 weeks later

Me: "Damn, they sent it in black instead of white."

          Walks to post office

        • @ArcherVice:

is the RoboVAC any good? was looking at purchasing one.

        • @Archi: No idea.

          fixed…

        • @jv:

Robovac might be a little easier and chepaer to buy and return

      • Impossible.

    • It's basically a plastic shell with three metal rings, each with free-moving ball bearings inside them.

They were selling like hotcakes at Melbourne Central yesterday - 2 for $20.

    Ah kids these days…

Bring me back to the 90s where it was about tamagotchis, Nintendo, sea monkeys, and watching early morning cartoons.

      Ah kids of the 90's…

Bring me back to the days of the 70's where it was about Yo Yo's, Sea Monkeys that had to be ordered from the back of the comic and early morning cartoons like
Jossie and the Pussycats, The Archies, and The Banana Splits (not a cartoon, but oh, the memories). :-p

Cheaper online for sure, but if you really must have them NOW (can't wait for shipping), this is not an awful price to pay. They have glow-in-the-dark versions available for the same price in a little stall outside Big W in Fountain Gate (VIC).

  • can be had elsewhere for cheaper.

        http://www.buyincoins.com/?r=bicProduct/index&pid=95595&gid=…

Delivery takes 3-4 weeks. If you select AUD at the top right of the screen, they will bill you in AUD (via Paypal of course).

Colour #21 is described as "Fluorescent", but judging from the pics they mean glow-in-the-dark.

Cheaper online but good price for in store

    • +1

Agreed, much cheaper online but all the ones I found have a 3 week + wait. By then the kids will be onto the next craze.
FYI did find them for $5 for the normal versions and $7 for the flashing LED version at the Shop Smart Outlet Centre in Mount Druitt, Sydney, in a small shop opposite the Donut King.
