Doesn't matter u can still tell time while you're drowning

    • Well played

Good price. And at least they don't have the crazy … was $800 now 90% off to sucker people.

I bought a different invicta watch a few years back and has been pretty good. Not bad for the price at all.

  • I can't tell on my iPad , but is this a little cheaper https://www.amazon.com/Invicta-8932OB-Analog-Quartz-Stainles…

    • +1

different model, this one is not auto movement

      • Thanks. Couldn't really tell on a mobile device ( and me being half asleep)

    • Quartz.

      • how much to get a sheiko auto serviced or are they throw away and when they loose their accuracy, i know my omega auto is now $700 but the omega quartz is $120 ….. or $70 for just a battery change and pressure test.

        • It is a very common movement, so any watchsmith should be able to service it or regulate it cheaply. That being said, it should last a very long time. It's a cheap invicta so just buy a new one when it fails and sell it for parts. The modders will buy the case etc.

          @ilikeit:

Quartz is much better IMO. Cheaper, less bulky, no servicing and, most importantly, a lot more accurate. Automatics lose a few second or more per day.

BTE These Amazon deal are as regular as clockwork 😁

        • +1

@tightwad: Haha, the old quartz vs auto debate has been done to death on the internet. No one is going to win that one. Everyone has their own opinion.

          Cheaper

You can get quartz watches that cost a lot more than this.

          less bulky

People looking at a dive watch deal probably don't care about bulk, not that it is anyway (see specs in the description) You know you can get bulky quartz watches? Like Casio G-Shocks, people buy these because they like the big size. Then there's the whole fashion watch market, some of these quartz watches are huge!

          no servicing

This watch has a Seiko automatic movement and from what I have read probably won't need a service for about 20-25 years.

most importantly, a lot more accurate

You don't buy an auto for accuracy, it's more about owning a timepiece & appreciating the movement. This is why some have display caseback, like this model.

These Amazon deal are as regular as clockwork 😁

The last time this watch dropped in price was December last year (see Camel link twice in the description) hardly regular.

@tightwad: Mine using the same movement as this watch gains a few seconds a day, Most mechanical watches will be governed as such, as most people would rather be early than late. Given that I general want to know the time to within 2 minutes, and the main requirement for it's total reliability will be a referential '15 minutes per 100 ft' rather than an absolute "15 minutes referenced to time {A} C.U.T" it's not really a problem.
I have an LG Urbane for when I need to time flashing morse-code to the ISS in daylight when I can't see it, and the Grand-diver model from this company for when I may slip of the rocks into surf or get stuck in a downpour when bush-walking or hunting, and want something to tell me when it is tea-time that is also good for stunning small prey.

        • @WatchNerd:

          "You can….", but usually not.

Even compact quartz divers watches are bulky enough. Most automatic diver's watches are often ridiculously big.

And as to accuracy not being important? Why are these watches so admired if they can't perform their basic function accurately? I don't frequent watch forums. I was going to get an automatic as I assumed they would be highly accurate. When I realised that even Rolexes lose one second per day it was a no brainer to buy a quartz.

The fact that you can't even appreciate an automatic until you remove it from your wrist says it all!

Amazon has almost weekly specials on Invicta watches. Models vary. I had a specific watch in mind and it went on special within a week of deciding. Coincidence or a result of cookies?

Anyway, enjoy your watch(es) They are good and fantastic value at these prices!

Still hanging out for the US $41.58 plus delivery I paid last time ;) For the record, I bought two which both had everything perfectly aligned: dial, bezel and magnifier. They both ran ~+6 seconds too. Crowns felt different to screw though.

For anyone after a cheap leather racing style strap, Cheapestnatostraps.com has some styles on clearance at the moment for US $9.95 + $1.95 delivery. Use code "welcomeback" for an extra 15% off.

That was a crazy price & still the lowest ever on Camel. Thanks for posting it as a deal I bought one too.

I almost grabbed another earlier tonight, but the wife suggested it was not in my best interests to do so…

Superb value for an Automatic. So they may send a Made In USA watch or one of different origin?

    • Made in China, stocked in USA. Apart from some micro-brands, these days watches are either manufactured in China or Switzerland.

      • My 18160 Grand dive is a Japanese movement with the watch assembled in Malaysia.

        • Oh yeah forgot about Malaysia. My SKX is manufactured in Malaysia…the vast majority of watches that aren't Swiss use very cheap Chinese movements or a cheap Japanese Miyota (Citizen) quartz movement. Seiko and Miyota autos are in many micro brands and VK (Seiko) meca quartz too.
