The Perfect Gift Card EFTPOS Cards - Activation Times

Does anyone know why sometimes gift cards activate straightway and times it takes 24 hours? Because I bought some EFTPOS cards from Woollies and they normally work straight away but today cards are not working yet.

  Did you get a separate receipt saying the gift card is activated ?
