Looking to plant a Lemon, Orange and Mandarin Tree and wondering about the most popular flavor and something that can tolerate Melbourne Cold in Winter?

Nurseries are trying to push mostly Eureka, Meyer and Lisbon but was thinking if there is more varieties like one mentioned by Masterpupil below (Sumo Mandarin)…

I grow limes, lemons and mandarins - no problems in Melbourne. I have a huge crop of limes and mandarins on the way. Oranges are harder, especially if you want navels. I also have lemonades also (delicious fruit that taste like lemons but without the bitterness).

Depends on what you want the fruits for - Cooking/garden aesthetics? Lemons are versatile for drinks/remedies + cooking, they take a while to mature but it'll eventually grow more than you need.
Mostly to make Lemonade, Cheesecakes and stuff…
What about those Sumo mandarins? Those are amazing.

I have all three - and they all grow fine in Melbourne. If you have to choose one, then I would say lemon - since you usually need this in little quantity, but often in cooking. So it is handy to be able to pluck it as required from the tree.
